How important is it to you to be considered "macho," or tough?

Would you ever put yourself through adversity just to prove you could take it?

And if you have endured a lot of pain how important is it that other people know you've been through it?

Would you prefer not to talk about it?

What if you had built up a reputation as being a strong, silent type -- stoic -- and then one day found out that no one bought it. Everyone thought you were a big wussy. Would you go out of your way to prove them wrong through action and words?

I call machoness "Flaming heterosexuality"

kinda puts it into the same perspective as most straight people see openly gay men

I care not, I have done the actions that would mark me as fit to join the ranks of real men.

I see no reason to continuously prove the point.

:)

I'm a wuss, everyone knows it and I'm not ashamed of it :)

I played Football, baseball, soccer as a kid...Placed 2nd in the USPA Skydiving National Championships, placed first in the Carolina Council Championship...served 3 years with the 1/75th Ranger Regiment, 2 years with the 82nd Airborne Division...I've had my good share of women (especially in the military) Now I'm in college as a Pre-Med student so I think I have proven my manliness and I would not do anything stupid to try and prove it further.

Also I use to fight alot as a kid due to the temper I use to have...when I was a kid I thought it was cool to be so tough to be able to fight so well...now I don't see the point...strange how age changes your perspective.

I ate broken glass, broke my father's ribs, wrestled and subdued a medium sized black bear, and impregnated my 3rd grade teacher to demonstrate my masculinity and I'm secure in it.

always the troll eh Sultan

I never had any trouble getting in touch with my feminine side.

Just turned out that it is a lesbian...

I care not what others think or say about me.

If you really don't see the point, why did you have to list all those accomplishments?

I don't think that I'm being considered a macho and I think it's fine that way. I think the age of machos is over, now's the age of wussies :p

:D

Do you know what machismo means in Spain?

Machismo is to think that womens must be under man's control, that the men are better than the womans...
