MadIOT: Napoleon's Negligence

hmm, he has a point there, France did control that territory however, they lost it to the British, who lost it to the Americans (except for Canada), so you both have claims to that land, and as such the Prussian Empire will not be taking sides in this conflict at the moment.

Actually, the area in question (Louisiana) was ceded to France's ally in the Seven Year's War, Spain, as a compensation for the British annexation of Florida. Spain then returned Louisiana to France after the War of the Pyrenees, and Napoleon sold it to the United States. However, I am under the impression that all treaties and such signed by the French Empire are void at this point, and the Louisiana purchase is among that.

Of course, that doesn't mean we're going to expand straight south along the Missisipi to New Orleans. It just means that our current holdings in Michigan-Illinois are certainly valid.

The Louisiana Purchase never happened. Napoleon had no need to! He won everything! ;)

I'll try to put up an updated map later today, for ease of joining.

EDIT: But as to that contest over Central North America- that's for you guys to figure out. What compromise did your nations come to when all French influence was vacuumed from the region and it was opened to expansion?

good point, but some of it was lost to the British in the seven years war (see below), because everything east of the Louisiana purchase (again see below in green) became the US after the war for independence, yes everything west of the Mississippi became Spanish, and then napoleon took it back and sold it to america in the Louisiana Purchase, but some of the land was taken by the British

I am extending the joining period until Monday the 9th. I have stuffs to do, Fireworks to watch. Will update the original post.

Have fun watching fireworks. I have to help repair a gate and fence today/tomorrow :p. Although I can usually see the fireworks from my house, which is awesome.

Map updated. For those of you who did not mark your capital on your map, I took the liberty of making your capital the province I believe it to be in. If anyone has issue with where I placed your capital, tell me and I will correct it.

Diné Nation

Spoiler :
claimsmap.png

Government: Tribal Democracy (Council of Elders elected by each province, they in turn elect the High Chief)
Capital: Meetinground
Major Ethnicities: Diné (Navajo) (70%), Pueblo People (20%), Hispanic (7%) Caucasian (3%)
Major Religions: Animism (75%), Catholicism (20%), Protestantism (5%)
Major Languages: Diné, Spanish, English
History:
The Diné people were well prepared to survive the aftermath of Napoleon’s bloodthirsty conquest. Indeed, they became the dominant power in the desert after the collapse of almost all central authority. The Spanish and Mexicans who had been steadily expanding northward were pushed back, even out of the lands of the Pueblo People. The Diné soon controlled vast swaths of land, and had incorporated the populations of their conquests.

Starting Units: Land

Map has been updated.

Mericun nations, you say? I was going to make a California Republic (NPC's wont be 30 provs necessarily; this was just going to be a tad beyond only Cali) but that is gone.

The NPC's I have planned as of now:
-French Despotate
-Empire of Brazil
-Republic of South Africa
-Kingdom of Australia
and maybe Russia to fill the center of Eurasia or Spain for North Africa/Spain.

I am requesting more African and European NPCs. It is not how large the white spaces are, but how many white territories are between them.

I may then. I am not sure how many everyone wants.

Double post. In effect.

Kingdom of Hawaii
Leader: Kamehameha II
Capital: Honolulu
Basis: "The Kingdom of Hawaii was established in 1810 — after a 15-year war..." ~Wikipedia. This means that the war had already begun 5 years before the PoD. As such, the advisiors and some stuff should be there when outside authority colllapses, and without interference the Kingdom might grow quite formidable TTL.

Soverign Dominion of South Africa
Leader: N/A
Capital: Cape Town
Basis: The British fully annexed Cape Town in 1806, and as such it happened here. Settlement really exploded during the 1820s, but I suspect that, cut off from the Motherland by the chaos in Europe and on the high seas, the settlement might have expanded a bit earlier. It still wouldnt be too big, though, and the population would be predominantly Dutch.

Kingdom of Imerina
Leader: King Radama I
Capital: Rova of Antananarivo
Basis: During the reign of Radama I in OTL (1810–1828), the Kingdom of Imerina expanded to cover around two thirds of the island of Madagascar. With little interference from the outside, he could have probably taken the entire island. Maybe even expanded beyond it.

Nippon
AKA Japan. Self explanatory.

Let's see if we can get any other players first. But I will definitely fill in NPC's.

Um, madtempar, you accidentally added another territory into my nation, its the little island just north of Pomerania, im telling you this so it can be fixed.

squared islands attached to land (like that one) are just going to be considered part of that province. K? Or would yall prefer I not?
