Mafia Game: Monty Python and the Holy Grail (GAME THREAD)

You know what? I screwed up the writeups. Checking my notes, the kill by the rabbit was on civplayah, and the kill by the arrggghhh murderer was done on rhawn.

That was not genius. I can't change it right now, but I will soon. it would take a full re-write... *facedesk*

For reference, the first two kills need to be switched because they are reversed.

For posterity- sithlord447 last activity 14/9/09 06:10 (AEST).

There's a mountain of evidence against Love.
From Night One, Seon's death:
His head smashed in and his heart cut out
And his liver removed and his bowels unplugged
And his nostrils raped and his bottom burned off
And his pen--
The second is a bit tenuous but would fit in with the PG-13 clue later.
Now cubsfan's death:
Cubsfan6506 was just hanging around, reminiscing about the good old days when he used to laugh and sing and dance in Camelot, and meet all the beautiful girls from the Castle Anthrax. Now he had to answer to the old ball and chain... ugh.
Obvious connection to matrimony, hence Love.
What wondrous adventures he would have with his new friend. What places they would see... what joyous things they would do. Oh, and the heavenly aroma that was emanating from this new friend... it was indescribably wonderful. Heck, anything smelled better than the rotting corpse he was hanging next to. Cubsfan lifted his restrained arm as best he could, and waved a hearty hello.
Love=friendship. Love=heart. And kiwi fruit smell nice, maybe?

From the Day Two lynch:
Brother Maynard: Right here, sire. It's apparently written in Aramaic. It reads: "Here are the last words of Terry Vance Gilliam. I'm not currently dressed as a character, I'm busy working on some animation for the cut scenes for the film. You know, that lovely bit with God speaking to Arthur? Yeah I drew that, and some other lovely surprises. I'm not sure why the host made me a part of the game but he did. Unfortunately, I cannot join you on the set right now because I'm dying. I was killed by the dreaded forces of.... aaaaarrrrggghhhhh."
Love's name.
Meanwhile, the Animator (TheLastOne36) suffers a fatal heart attack, and Terry Vance Gilliam was no more.
That is true to the movie, but still adds to the evidence.
Day Three lynch:
Sir Launcelot was placed in chains and driven off to jail. They would not be seeing him again, because he was taken advantage of by his cell mate and the rest is not exactly PG-13 material. In short, he was violated to death.
Love, as pointed out in thread, could relate to something that isn't quite PG-13.
And this last murder of civplayah:
What remained of his torso was never found
The heart is in the torso. Plus, of course, what Backwards Logic has pointed out.

Also note the reference in the Day Three lynch to chains, which has been a constant buzzword used. It probably points to someone, but I don't know how. Notice in the quotes below how the word chain is repeated, seemingly out of place. It comes up a few other times in the lynches and murders, also (a total of 7).

From cubsfan's death:
Now he had to answer to the old ball and chain... ugh. He wasn't going anywhere at all, because he was a bit tied down. Every day was the same old routine... they would chain him to the wall for twelve hours, and then feed him whatever rat they found in the dungeon, and then turn him upside-down and let him hang there in chains for the next twelve hours, and then do it again.

In this clue from cubsfan's death, the Romans are mentioned prominently, for a seeming inexplicable reason. This could be a clue.
At least it was better than how the Romans treated their prisoners. Nice people though, those Romans... fantastic. Crucifixion was the best thing they ever did for anyone. Cubsfan6506 often wished he had gotten off easy and received a crucifixion sentence.
This could be linked to someone related to something Roman. Maybe Paulus III? Or Renata, a roman word.

Stuck in Pi's death:
The rabbit ran furiously, and it hopped and dodged its way through the burnt clearing, ducking under fallen trunks and into smoldering craters. Finally it swerved to the left and went straight for Tim, ducking between his legs.
Day Three lynch:
The Crowd: Sprig! Civgeneral! CCRunner! Civgeneral! Very small rocks! Apples! Cider! Gravy! Churches! A duck! Civgeneral!
In these two quotes, ducks are referenced, which would, IMO, link to whoever happens to be Sir Bedevere (the witch scene, where Sir Bedevere weighs the witch against a duck), or perhaps even to King Arthur (who suggests that a duck be used in the measurement, and is later accused of being afraid of ducks by the French Taunter in the second scene in this clip). There is also the possibility that ATPG used the opportunity of CCRunner and Sprig being voted for to explicitly state them in the lynch as a clue. He did this in the last mafia game, with the explicit reference to 'Pastor Bird! Pastor Bird!'.

Just putting all that out there. So, there are chains, there is something to do with Romans, and there is the duck. But for now, I'll Vote: Love.

I'm with you guys, vote: Love. He is a killer who must die.

Is this your clues? Just because i have a name that's having alot of relations to many things. That's like saying: "OH MY GOD THERE WAS THE WORD 'THINK' IN THE WRITEUP!!!!!111 THINK -> BRAINS -> Brains..... -> AMAGAD CHOXORN IS A WITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OR A KNIGHT OF NI!!!!!!!!!"

Get my point? What i say is that if a man tries, he will find clues on everyone, everywhere. Also I spotted rotting corpse in one of camikazes accusations.

And the heavenly aroma could point everywhere, like camikazes nazi-trashcan-smell, choxorns zombies, A PIZZA!?

Sooo, Cindle was the taunting Frenchman... I could go on and on with lots of 'I told you sos', but that's not my style.

The evidence against Love looks a bit overwhelming, but I think it's a tad too overwhelming to be that simple. On the other hand, I find the word 'electric' in the writeup to be rather oddly used
French Taunter: You silly English types with your silly, knees-bent running around like a chicken with its head cut off... you can all go and... boil your bottoms! You cheesy lot of second-hand electric donkey-bottom biters! I waft my private parts at you and fart in your general direction! Your mother was a hampster, and your father smelt... of elderberries!!!
Same with the hampster. Could be a clue, could be a typo.

Anyway, in the meantime I'll just vote : Love.

Note, however, that all of those taunts are true to the script of the movie. They still could be clues, though...

I too thought that the clues against Love might be too obvious, but if the last game is anything to go by, ATPG doesn't give false clues.

Yes, YES, the ghosts want Love's blood!

Vote: Love Time's up.

So, out of curiosity -- this all your work, Camikaze, or did someone else suggest it to you? I just want to get it right in my notes.

(BTW, you do realize that between the two of you, you and Backwards Logic have managed to tie Love to just about every death in the game? What a busy boy he must be.)

It's pretty obvious when you read through the posts and are looking for something that points to Love- I went through everything again after what Seon (IIRC) said. I'm guessing that some of it's not actually meant to point to him, but the clues are a pretty gargantuan coincidence if he isn't guilty.

@Love- Please do go through the murders/lynches and try to find as many clues that point to someone else- make me believe that there is someone else I should suspect.

You guys leave me with no choice than to tell who I am since I'm dead either way.

I am king arthur. Defeater of the Saxons, sovereign of all England. The lady of the lake gave me my sword excalibur to protect one man each night from horror. My goal is to cleanse england from threats.

What I am saying is true, if i die you will see that I am telling the truth and only the truth.

I am by the reasons Renata has told, very suspicious on Camikaze and Backwards Logic.

I vote: Backwards Logic for his terrible reason to vote on me. Camikaze had a list.

I'm far from convinced by the evidence against Love. And if he was mafia then they probably would have started a different bandwagon by now.

Buuuut, due to a lack of other ideas: vote: Love

I can't resist citing my favourite quote from the movie: "Well you can’t expect to wield supreme executive power just ’cause some watery tart threw a sword at you!"- Dennis (a.k.a. rhawn).

It would probably help your cause if you could come up with some clues that might point to someone else- you have to admit, the clues against you are pretty widespread, and I haven't really seen any indication of clues pointing to anyone else.

Also please note that I have no connection to Backwards Logic. We didn't collude. I just used what he wrote to add to the evidence.

Unless they are all America, and therefore most likely asleep (with a few exceptions)... :hmm:

I was going to vote for BL anyway but now it'll look like a bandwagon. Oh well. Vote: Backwards Logic

Thing is, I believe that oyzar had the right method, but got the wrong man. Examining the one day's extension of the night might well catch us a killer. Unfortunately I do not have the last-time-logged-on data, but I do know that BL has been having connection problems recently. Seems a bit low to get him on that, but it's all I've got because I'm not willing to nail people on tenuous links to the day- and night-posts any more. That would be hypocrisy (a duck, you may notice, is a bird).

I do not really have the time to do that, and if i survive this day I'm dead anyway. Because I'm the "Angel" in this game.

Ok my liege, I believe you (see, TLO and CivG, this is how it works).

Unvote, vote : Backwards Logic
.

He has an avatar that spits electricity from its fingers. I'm clutching at straws here, I know, but what else do we have ?

Ok my liege, I believe you (see, TLO and CivG, this is how it works).

That only works in a few rare incidences. Most of the time, they just want the accused dead and don't care about innocence.

Hmmm I seriously do not kow what tot think :( I do not want my liege killed but what is to say that Love isn't lieing ...

"I will not be responsible for the death of a king Unvote, vote : Backwards Logic."
