I agree. I have been catched in last ATPG's game because of my actions, but it was FUN. If I was hiding, it would be less fun for me and I suppose less fun for everyone else. I would support actions that would make strategic inaction less viable
Well, we did that in the Highway to Hell mafia but we were scum there and pizza and I spammed so much that no one noticed the absences of Renata and civplayah… if we divide the amount of posts by pizza and me by four we'd still get a number around or above the average…
Despite that I have employed some level of strategic inaction a few times myself (on both sides of the alignment divide), and been relatively inactive several more times for non-role-related reasons, I have no objection whatsoever to moderator actions that encourage or mandate some minimum level of public participation. When people are simply unavailable to the public thread at all, the game suffers for it.
I should also add that it's probably wise, if you're a roleblocker, not to do anything on the first night. See how many kills there are, and there's no risk of blocking a pro-town power role.
