Many Leaders Game 3 - Prince Domination

I've heard of before attacking, send your spies to enemy cities and support revolts, then attack and that supposedly stops the city defense ability of units. Or soemthing like that. I'd like to try it.

Yeah, the "Support city revolt" option makes wonders taking the cultural defense of besieged cities.... But siege units are still necessary: the CG bonuses still appplies and spy induced revolts do not harm the defenders ( unlike the "natural" ones... )

I'll join Kodii on the second page with the exploits of the real Roman empire. ;)

And I'll join both you guys on the second page for the Story of the Celts and their most liked ruler: Boudica. Too bad I won't see her often...

But, that's an advance. In MLG2 my post was in the 3rd page!

:gripe: Ozzy for not advertising the creation of this thread in the other one!

Oh, and one more thing.. I'm thinking about getting this as a full report, like I do for Realms Beyond events in my personal civ site. If it's okay with all you guys, of course! ;)

Here's the real thing:

I should have done that heh .

No problems with doing the reports on your own website.

Anyway, I'm back into civilization (both the game and the reality). Will have a starting screenshot up later tonight and the saves by Friday.

I would love a spare space (any free leader) if one is available....

cheers

Ralph

Well, we had a great capital site last time so interested what we all make of this.

Lovely, just lovely ;)

Two positive things : all those trees hanging there around us, just waiting to be transformed into something useful, and those rivers. Looks like future cheese to me. :goodjob: to all financials among us for their wise choice.

Firstly, I was originally going for a Hemispheres map but after some investigation decided that that map is too big for Domination (would have led to endless war after war), so we're going for Medium and Small.

All sounds good there. Good call on the medium and small.

I like the look of the capital. Lots of lovely trees to stripmine. And the nine exciting mystery squares. Oooh!

Thanks for the update.

i'll reserve this for the annals of the mongol horde.

ps anyone got a chainsaw

And a quick question!

It's likely (hopeful?) the patch will come in after we've started this game. What's the intention with regards to that?

Not coastal :gripe: How can launch my Berserks from my cappitol without sea :p ?

1SW looks like a coast to me...
To be confirmed by sharper eyes than mine.

Look like coast to me too, but it can also be a lake.. :mischief:

Well... This time I'm not Philosophical I would have gotten a wooden Pyramids...
I guess that forests will become a bunch of axes! The way I'm lucky, this will be an isolated start!

Well for a domination win on Medium and Small, you're going to encounter the sea sooner or later ;)

I must admit I was surprised you have gone away from philosophical FB. I was expecting to see Alex get a run again.

Its an intriguing mix of leaders we have. Interested to see why people chose their leaders (can everyone have a short speil in their first 50 turns of why they chose their leader).

Plan of attack is to work on getting the saves posted on Friday night (my time) and the game can kick off this weekend. First deadline will be next Friday. Usual turgid analysis will be provided then by your truly . I have a secret graph I'm going to pull out as well.

I know I said we would go 50/50/40/40/free-for-all on saves but having played a test game (where I figured out hemispheres was too big a map) I don't see people getting close to finishing by then so we'll stick to the weekly sessions for a couple rounds after that. Best bet is to see at the time what people think in terms of turns (40 or 30).

Gee, you can tell you're in a SG with GreyFox

Does it notices  :p ?
But I don't see the relevence... [scream] I want a coastal capitol !!!! [finish scream] I want GLighthouse + Collosus and to raid all the coastal cities I can with my UU.....

[resumes normal calm, non-GreyFox affected state]

I'll do this (actually, I'm already working on it) on my initial report. But, as I told you before, this game always seem to be the one where I experience something new. MLG1 was my first prince victory. MLG2 was my first BtS game. MLG3, a Prince BtS game, forced me to get away from Greece and Philosophical at the same time! But you can bet Alex was the first option I considered!

@Rolo, even Mr. Fox is being uh.... lighter than you was! :p
[begin acting like Mr. Fox]You want coast? Go exploring with the settler and lose 10 turns![end acting like Mr. Fox]
