Many Leaders Game

Not that I'm competitive or anything but 1864 is the time to beat. Good stuff from Ozbenno. I'm still at 1700 and debating options (war, war or war?).

Well done. I'll win by Domination, but not before 1950 or so.

Isabella was a bad choice for this I think, but I more or less got locked into it. And the UU was useless on this map. *sigh*

Basically, I attacked Gandhi, went for Dehli, captured Madras before the ADs'...and then my limited warring...and a happy Nappy declared war on me....and we spent 500 years in a life and death struggle over ONE CITY. I beat him, but that supreme waste of time was no help.

I might try again with another leader methinks. Anyway, let me wrap up this one first.

.and we spent 500 years in a life and death struggle over ONE CITY. I beat him, but that supreme waste of time was no help.

Yeah, that's why I'm thinking about space ship.

Congrats Ozbenno. Date to beat and score to beat.

Yeah, my UU stunk in this situation as other UU's were more useful time period wise vs these opponents.

I'll happily finish off this game first...but can I try another leader?

Perhaps...perhaps Victoria or Asoka?

Sure if you want to play it through. we are in the last phase now, people posting victory write ups.

Victoria is taken, but you can have Ragnar, Wang, Shaka, Washington....anyone except Mehemd,Augustus,Alexander,Vicky, Hannibal, and Brennus.

I decided to go to space. Napoleon's knights would make a big mess of my improvements and I hate that.

I'm going to post one last write up and save (or maybe split it in two), but it's
all about ther victory now.

Idea; post a screenie of your crankingest Hammer producing city, and your crankingest Beaker producing city.

sample; Bibracte at 1844. 330 Beakers/turn

Bibracte.jpg

I understand. No worries, I'll finish this new one as well, no worries. The last game has turned into WWI. I'll win it, but it's not much fun anymore.

Can I have Catherine of Russia?

My hammer city is coming .... Delhi ......

Vra has ditched Isabella and will join the fun with Catherine. Save at the bottom.

Vra, check the other games for strat ideas. The idea seems to be to take out the barb cities, which can be quite good on this map, develop, then attack Shaka and then build. Augustus went for Napoleon and then Shaka.

Still waiting to see how all the others did.

I'm still playing it out, but ... Ozbenno's victory date has come and gone .

Who's your money on? For the warmongers Mehemed, Hannibal or Victoria?
For the space ship, Augustus or Brennus?
And what is Alex up to ?

Here's your start vra...

Victory...

Spoiler :
1705, decision to build a Celtic spacecraft.

Representation, Caste system, Free speech-market-religion.

Tech went;
Rifling,steam,AssemblyL,Sci-M,Phys,Artill, Rockets,Communism, Biolog(mostly lightbulbed. No trades.

Napopleon is close on the power chart and loaded up with Knights and trebs. I decided a war would eat up a lot of time, (and I peeked at Ozbenno's write up.) Need the other continent, would probably take as long as the spaceship, and I like building.

Toku in my game is weak and Furious. USA and Arabia are all following him in confucianism, but they are backward and weak. Dysfunctional other continent. Good.

Delhi_iron works gets Apollo to build(16 turns).

Democracy,Railroad, and mass railroading, Electricity, Industrialism, Apollo built in 1838. Oh well, I wont be beating Ozbenno.(surprise).

Wall street in Bibracte, shrine city

Building research in all but the three core prod cities.

Wonder-fest while waiting for the space techs to come in;

Yeah...My problem last game is I decided to act like Isabella. So, I founded two relgions, started wars with anyone who wasn't mine...

Hell, I'd have attacked myself by the time it was over...Even GHANDI declared war on me! Anyway, I'm up to 1200 AD, I've destroyed the Zulu, Ghandi has founded FIVE (Possibly six) religions...and I need money, so he's next.

@ Tatran :goodjob:

A Diplo victory...and you didn't build the UN or research Mass Media !

I did not expect that. Nice game to watch. Really interesting.

Puff. puff. puff....
He-hey, guys!
What did I say? When you finish the game I would be getting liberalism! And it seems I'm wrong. I didn't even get Liberalism by now (but I am the only one that has Education AND Philo).

Alex's highlights on 800AD-1400AD:
1- Shaka is dead. Actually, on the first turn.
2- Napoleon declared on me two turns after I said he would.
3- Gandhi cultured bomb a city that was ALMOST flipping and ALMOST fliped TWO cities of mine. Had to run artists to counter. Thanks, Odeon!

So, here's the log:

So Corinth gets HE and really cranks the troops. You look set to wipe out Napoleon, then are you going after Gandhi? You'll have to I think. He's too clever. That's a lot of war, but you are teching ahead of the pack anyway.

It's funny how in my game Toku was weak with hardly any troops.
In the Brennus game he founded Confucianism and converted his whole continent, so he loved them and didnt need an army.
In your's and Ozbenno's he became a monster. When he gets astronomy it could get risky with him on the map.Might be an idea to set him against Gandhi.

Mine is going quite well. I LOVE Cossaks...hoping for the best Space Race win as I simply don't have the heart to take out Gandhi. He's played a hell of a game, was a great opponent and doesn't deserve an execution...

Ozbenno's game is looking to finish before mine. Got up to 1800ad and still half a dozen french cities to take (tho I have wiped Nap's stacks).

So...the end. I'll report when I can...but this says it all.

Ah well, I got an Augustus Ceasar anyway. It was quite amazing actually...I was researching medieval techs in 4 turns on 20% science in the 1500's...THAT, was just cool. In the end, Gandhi and I were pals...there's a lovely tale where I saved Gandhi from the brink of elimination...
