Map creating offer

You may wish to look at the map used in the Denmark vs. Sweden Scenario, Sir John. It might include what you are looking for.

More seriously thank you for your offer but I don't really see how we could complete one another's job, especially the way I am making them (a small area at a time not to get bored and rush things).

On the other hand if you want to do the Europe + Africa map yourself, that will take an important task off my back ;). Not that I mind doing it but when would me a more appropriate question.
But actually where you could really help me is trying to understand the templates business el Mencey mentioned he used for his 362 earth map. I contacted him but no reply (maybe his English as he keeps on mentionning his English is not so good).
That would be real useful (maybe to copy parts of the maps the way I understood it).

You give it a try ?

lol yeah, pedias are important.

I dont have the time to start makinga whole new map, it was just if you had some that you just could´nt get completet.

Maybe try emailing el mencey on spanish, just use the google translater :)

Some news !

First I got an (English) reply from el mencey. Actually there is not trick but to create coordinates lines on the map. So much for a "magic" tool...

Second, I add a few things to my maps sometimes and since my map of Magna Greecia starts to look like somthing, I have attached a preview.
If people are not happy with some things, it would be better to let me know before I feel like I finished it.
So feedback welcome. Of course most terrains or even islands haven't not been worked on but there is enough stuff to keep you waiting a bit longer :p

I need a map on the western border of China and Russia(highest priority)

and one of Japan with Korea and pieces of China included

Just use the tools mentionned in the first post to give me screenshots of what you want. And precise size, please. About priority, they will come after the projects mentionned on page 3.

A preview would not really show anything for most lands are still plains, except for some hill networks.

emu, you right. loulong, when said priority I meant among the maps I mentined, not all of them.

Eastern Chinese-Russian border

ok i will just wait then:)

OK, some news:

1. My already created maps (except for Baltic) have been translated into English for the ones who had barbaric words everywhere (these barbaric words are French BTW ;) ).

2. I have been quite busy lately with helping Steph on converting Cossack units (a priority I reckon) and converting many Civ2 maps using Gramphos multitool. These maps are not usable as such but there is a wide range of choices so I considered that
priority as well.

3. I have nearly finished the Greek World / Magna Grecia (in preview already) and France. Then I will correct the Baltic map.

4. One of the converted map is of Texas, is that OK for you TexasCowboy or not ? Please say "yes" :crazyeye:
You can find it there :

5. Next, back in order :
- Spain to Sahel for Alireza, sorry Alireza, your post was bottom of a page and I did not even see it before now but I like the idea and you asked before so...
- Texas if the converted one does not do.
- China for Procifica (though he looks busy enough with the US civil war at the moment).
- Siberia/Japan

My two other personal projects (Black sea and SAmerica triangle) might show up in-between since I usually do small areas at a time but that they are advanced.

Have I forgotten someone, something ?

I have a map request for u. It may be to difficult. Im not sure if youre good enough. :P

I want a (probable) map of the earth in 2200AD. Logically I have no map for this but It would be nice if you could to this. It woudl have to be somehat realistic. You would have to incluse stuff like: natural disasters, wars, that the continents are from eachother and similiar stuff that could change the earth surface...

If you find that you are good enough to do this, then Good luck (you'll need it :p )

No offense, but I only do real maps.

In 2200 AD though, the continents would not have changed so much so I guess you just need to modify some earth map around by adding some of the natural disasters you spoke of.

About that topic, there are two earth maps I converted from Civ2 maps that can be used for post-disaster scenarios.

One is called Bad Day: the level of the seas has risen dramatically and a few climate changes have occured (Greenland for instance). The other one is a map where the climate changes have brought another ice age.

Maybe that would do it, though you need to add sea terrain and resources. You can find them there :

If LouLong has too much to do I can help with that map. I've only made one map for civ 3, but that's quite good, if I may say it myself, and I've made maps for civ 2 before. And with the Victory Points in PTW it's quite easy.

PS. Lou, I'm not trying to steal anything from you, of course.

I am working on it already.

Now my way of working maps bight not be of your liking : I usually do a very small part at a time so as to keep my accuracy and not to get bored and just fill it quickly.

That is why I asked you in you were in a hurry Kryten or whether I could do it at my usual speed !!!

I will start putting the booster on.

I didn't mean to pressure you, or try to jump the queue.
I was only replying to your previous post....
