Also, back on topic...

The only ones thinking that we're unhappy (Quebecers) are those outside of the province! The fact that we ask for more "autonomy" in our own province is reminiscent of the extreme centralization of the "old" colonial constitution. No american would accept to live in it either :P

But that doesnt mean we're unhappy... !! Just come visit us (may I suggest in the summer tho) to realize how we are everything BUT unhappy :king:
Thank you for the politically inclined truth, as we all wait for the patch there's something to say about being challenged to Off-Topic deviations *BUT* there certainly was a limit to being insulted online.
Seen Legault last evening at RC news... delay Sovereignty?
Now, that *was* diplomacy at its best.
Back on Topic, please.

Hold it right there Moss...

Blame Firaxis & 2K for;

1-- Creating a game where all Leaders speak to us in their native tongues and in diplomatically gorgeous graphics at that. Can't resist Zetty's silk dress even if i don't actually understand a word she's saying.
2-- They're announcing the Patches too fast, it seems. Giving us all plenty of time to emotionally deviate to Off-Topic & spontaneous reactions if anything - BECAUSE - of enthusiasm. And that happens directly *at* deeply natural brain cells level that go as far back as childhood.
3-- Freedom of expression is not about rules, it's about being heard.

Not questioning the need to return On-Topic or your necessary intervention, here.

Just that, in my mind - people are free to play or react when it matters (to them, at the time!).
We simply like CFC enough to respect it and more.

Moderator Action: The reason for the English only rule is because the majority of our moderators only speak/read English. It makes it difficult to moderate different languages as we don't know whether the language being used or what is being said is acceptable or not. If you have further questions, PM me. - Moss

So let's get back on topic. Where's that dammn patch?
I know exactly where... inside a hugely important Dev_Owned_and_Operated mean-lean machine compiling daily for bugs & tracing as we speak.
Heading for QA each evening.
Until it's all ready.
Can't you simply wait for less than another week as of this moment in the whole UT loop & calendar restrictions that shows Tuesday here, too?

I'm really hoping this patch will fix a lot of latent issues that are currently crippling the game for me. Namely, the near worthlessness of GP improvements, and the insane AI backstabbing.

Scaled up tech costs throughout the game (slight change for early eras; close to double for Modern)

This *should* help with making mid-to-late-game units actually buildable and usable, not to mention the same era buildings. Also, where's the "GDR without Robotics" fix?

Significant turn time improvements.

THANK YOU! Now I can actually play on Huge maps without taking 5 minutes per turn

Now, if only there was some way to get rid of the Carpet o' Doom...

Well....remember that RAs are still just as powerful as before. If you're intending to play those huge maps you'll still have buttloads of RAs popping you free techs every few turns....

They should really make RA's give a flat RP/T boost based on a % of the RP/T of the player you made the deal with.

That way you fix two issues at least:
- No insta tech, gamebreaking nonsense
- No pacts between the #1 AI and #20 AI giving one Nuclear Fission and the other Steam Power

This was the original implementation of RAs in Civ 5. It is still unclear why they changed the mechanic.

Moths of doom?
If planes can bomb within range in panoramic scope i don't have to reasonably assume a Warrior(+) can only see or move into some 60° tunnels apart from each other.
Gimme mo'directions to go towards and i'll escape clugs 200% more often than before.
Thus, the line-of-sights for the blind and extra corridors between Hexes sustained by new Zoc rules.

No Finnish is, as we swedes call it, babytalk!! hehe! Im just being silly really. I find the Finns to be Swedens best Scandinavian neighbours.

I am from once great America and I thought it was a small world.

Great patch !

But I am disappointed that they still did not list Some modding related changes like:
- Allowing custom Font Icons for new resource.. etc
- Support for new art defines for resources and wonders
- Improved version of Nexus

I got feedback from 2K Greg about custom Font Icons, he said that this is something someone is working on, but it will not make it to February patch

Please standby, we control the Horizontal and the Vertical... --The Twilight Zone.

That quote is from the opening of the "Outer Limits", not the "Twilight Zone." ;)

Blah. I spent quite a bit of time today trying to get the game to insert a .ggxml into the Ascii, but it seems everything is simply too far resolved by the time it loads mods.
