For all my criticism about 2k and Civ5 I have to give them this:

They give you an ETA: "OMG ITS LATE ZOMG@!!!!!"

They don't give you an ETA: "OMG GIVE ETA PLZ ZOMG!@#!"

Personally if I were 2K I would follow the "Blizzard" model: Don't tell customers anything and occasionally "leak" something, which you can deny as "official" whenever you want.

2K (west coast) may have to sign off on it... so Firaxis may turn it in and it may sit on someones "Urgent do Today" list for a few hours.

Most of the announcements came around midnight european time (so around 4 hours from this post), with a delay of 1/2 to 1 hour to CFC, which would mean either 18 o clock Firaxis time (east coast) or 15 o clock 2K time (west coast).
So don't hold your breath for the next minutes, plenty of time left (regarding the "normal" schedule).

Yeah, I want it early AND finished. How about that?

Seriously a lot of things said here is not whining, just discussing is all... What in the hell is wrong with wanting it sooner and therefore being slightly disappointed when it's not there? I see very little actual whining here...

Wasn't it the same with the 1.135 patch? Was hold back until they were fine to release the DLC.

I'd say it was the other way around. Not everything is a vast global consipiracy, you know.

It could be worse: they could make you buy a full XP to get the patch changes.

Just think of us Poor Duke Nukem fans that have been waiting for DNF since 1997. That sure makes waiting for this patch seem like a breeze!

My hunch is that it will be released later today, if not no big deal they must have a very good reason not to.

Heck, patches have been used to market expansion packs for years now. We got that out of our system ages ago.
