March Patch Notes (formerly february)

Looks like the only changes since the update list posted a week ago are:

* Memory leak – UI – Change the way the UI Manager calculates the hash of a texture so that different ways of specifying the same texture will not load the same texture more than once.
* Memory leak – DLL – Fix memory leak in DLL Args system
* Correct coding error that could cause turn-time spikes, incorrect deployments for protected bombard attack, or incorrect deployments as armies marched across the map

Still always great to see more crash and performance fixes!

Is it just out in the USA? I open Steam and nothing happends. I can't start the game anymore either. Is this normal? Says servers are busy when I try to start a game too.

Time to crank up a huge map with 22 civs and see how I look by turn 200

I won't be able to check this out until I get home from work tonight, sadly. Has anyone had problems with mod compatibility? I'd hate to go back to life before InfoAddict for even a day or two.

patch finally release at last, trying it now...

Good to hear!

Can someone load a savegame of a later game (100+ turns) to see if there are any improvements?
(Uhm.. Assuming the patch is savegame-compatible, if not: Everybody game on! :p )

Loaded my last Persia game which hit an unrecoverable crash on turn 289 (crashed every time I reloaded it), it not only got past the crash point, but is MUCH faster in processing time between turns.

Weird to see your stats change so much on one "End turn" when the new patch accounting rules kick in, but at least I can finish this game... I'm glad, I've been in GA for 92 consecutive turns, looking forward to keeping it going! ;)

First impressions:
1. end turn times much, much better now.
2. With the new diplomacy, in the ongoing earth game, historic starts: Elizabeth (not at war with anyone) denounced all the old world civilizations on the same turn. :D
3. Graphic display bugs (ghost cities, ghost foxes and so on) remain unchanged.

Wonder if faster loading between turns helps multiplayer?

Strange. Can't choose the dlc civs in multiplayer. I have bought them, and they work in single. Wasn't that one of the changes?

If I start Civ and go to Civilopedia, and go to buildings, it lists aqueduct in there, is that an indication that the patch is installed? :)
