Mass Effect for PC announced

Not to seem scat, but IGN gave Mass Effect on the PC a 9.2/10. So say hello to another good PC port of a console game!

Everytime you make yet another stupid post about a score, a thousand kittens commit suicide.

Please, think of the kittens.

It plays like a dream on my PC! No pop-ins or choppy animation.

I'm not allowed to buy rated-M games and so Mass Effect is not a possibility for me. Not to mention that most consoles games end up being full of bugs and stability problems when ported over to the PC (just look what happened to Resident Evil 4!).

The only computer game that has become better on consoles so far is The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and no console game has become better on the computer.
um, you DO know it's illegial to purchase M games when you're underage right?
besides, the ESRB SUCKS! the BBFC's ratings are better

No. It's illegal for them to sell you those games.

And I've bought countless M rated games as a kid. I've enjoyed almost every single one of them in all it's gory glory.

Well, I think somewhere Mass Effect is 12+ (that sucks; it's 17+ in America!).

But yay to another good Console to PC port! Now Mass Effect is joining the ranks of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory.

Speaking of console to PC ports, has anybody played Final Fantasy VII, FFVIII, and/or Metal Gear Solid on the PC? I have this friend whose only exposition to the Metal Gear series was MGS on the PC.

It's not even illegal to sell M rated games. It's just company policy for most major retailers that they do not sell them to people under 17.

No I think it's illegal, they get fined if they are caught doing it.

That must be a very new law then, because I could buy them when I was younger.

I thought wikipedia could clear it up but it doesn't. So I'm not sure anymore.

wasn't this game already released?

Because it's fine as long as I don't keep repeating it.

And if anybody wondered, the reason why I keep blurting out Gamerankings things is because I don't like it when I've wasted hours and days of my life playing badly-rated games. That's what I used to do.

Sir... haven't you realized that YOU DO REPEAT IT?

I've got some news. People have literally told you about 500 times to stop posting this GameRankings bullcrap. So DO IT ALREADY!!! Or be shunned.

We know which games are good and we know which games are bad. We play them, and we trade them in to GameStop if we don't like them/get bored.

I cannot fathom why does it bother you if a game that you enjoy playing is badly rated? WHY? WHY!?

There is no law against it. Many stores have it as a policy but you're not going to get arrested if you happen to have one underage.

ESRB is an industry organisation, not a goverment body. Their ratings are merely suggestions.

At least in America as far as I know. Illinois might have done it.
