It's based on knowing other players that have techs you don't have and researching them. We may not have TD on here in this game.1st - Is Tech Diffusion in this version still strongly tied to score rather then "Tech Score"? And what about in the latest version of C2C? First time I saw this was in my few attempts to play RAND, and I don't agree with this method. Like in this game, I have never benefitted from Tech Diffusion, even being far behind both TBrd and Koshling. Even Magnus had Feudalism before me.
Good question. It may be an outdated effect. I don't usually play with vassals and I don't know what 'strengthen' means in this case but we don't use UU methodologies anymore so that part can be ignored.2nd - I've built the Topkapi palace, which "strengthen" vassals and gives me 20% to build their UUs. What exactly does both of these things mean in C2C? I remember Topkapi palace giving this percentage in RFCEurope, which made sense, as UUs were substitutes of normal units, so training them could give you a vassal's UU instead of the unit you trained.
Now that's far better, and makes sense, was my suggestion back then. I remember discussing that Player Score can be heavily influenced by size and wonders, which not necessarily reflects the most developed nations. This meant staying behind in points was a great way to hurry in techs without letting them spread much. And it didn't make sense at all. Like in this game, imagining it had TD, why I wouldn't get TD from both TBrd and Koshling, who share borders with me, and have way more techs then me? Just because I have many wonder and a huge territory? I used to discuss this back then, I'm glad it's different and better now. It's based on knowing other players that have techs you don't have and researching them. I imagine it does another effect in the latest version? And would there be a path I can check in the code what this could mean?Good question. It may be an outdated effect. Not that I'm aware of.I imagine it does another effect in the latest version? And would there be a path I can check in the code what this could mean?
