BIG SUGGESTION ON POST BELOW!
I'm currently working on making a huge compilation of map changes I've come up with through studying the map and worldbuilder editing it for my games. It will take me a while to screenshot them all, and actually have the time to even do that. Until then, I thought it'd be a good idea to open up this thread to suggestions from everyone else.
Important areas I need suggestions in:
East Russia
Africa (to encourage better city placement by Europe and to show the diverse amount of colonies from all European nations, including Germany)
Australia
Ukraine (currently, there really is no reason to make a city there unless you're the Ottomans trying to take over Kiev through culture)
Some advice I have:
Leoreth's editing of Bolivia and Scandinavia are regions I'd say are near perfect, and I want to help add that touch to more neglected parts of the map. Some aesthetical and strategic advice I have.
1) when possible, don't let resources line up horizontally or vertically, as it looks more natural when they aren't. However, sometimes this is necessary.
2) Keep in mind that players will try to make megacities
3) Keep in mind dynamic resources
