Master Map Change Thread

Alright, so in addition to my large amount of changes 3 posts up, here is a picture of what I've done with the Orients.

Added two teas in Japan, replacing one silk and replacing the silver which moved down to Nagasaki to replace the moved gold. Moved the whale. Moved Kagoshima to Nagasaki. Added a coal where Sapporo is to increase production there and give Japan coal. Added a coal near Vladivostok to make it more important. Added uranium a little south of the Hunan Province of China. Added fish near Taiwan. Removed a coal from Manchuria and moved it towards the desert west of Beijing. Moved coal in Korea to favor Seoul's cross.
The dye closer to Edo also means a realistic portrayal of Japanese theater.
The extra tea can be traded more easily than the silk.

I recommend adding a source of Gems to represent Jade, as it was an important part of the early Chinese artisan tradition somewhere along the Yellow River in accordance with the Shang Dynasty borders:

One thing about Seoul; historically, it was not a very important city until the advent of the Joseon.
Before that, Kaesong was generally the most important urban center in Corea.
This is something I should probably take to Leoreth, but their starting position should reasonably be 1N to reflect that.
But Corea is so small that the changes invariably end up benefiting Kaesong as well, so I'm just making a note of it.

This next request sounds odd especially pertaining to East Asia, but please give America a Spice resource in Wisconsin to represent ginseng.
Wisconsin actually exports quite a bit of ginseng to East Asia (mostly China & Japan) so this is not without merit within the context of this particular conversation.

My final note is that there should be a source of Oil in Heilongjiang.
The Daqing Field is China's largest producer of oil:

I'll look into it, but China already has a ton of resources. I'll probably look to take out a luxury resource in replacement.

But then North and South Korea would never be represented.

That area already has an oil.

After looking into Japanese tea, it would seem that Japanese tea should be dynamic for 1150-1200 near Kyoto. Meanwhile, incense also should be made on the forested hill on the south of Kyoto.

More changes:

Colombia
Added cotton on city
Tobacco 1N,
Moved coffee 1N
sugar 2W and made it a hill.
Gem outside fat cross but within 3rd culture in Amazon
Cow 1E
Gold on jungle hill between Venezuela and Colombia
Removed corn, crab, and iron

Ecuador
Replaced a dye with a fruit.
Moved the cotton 1S of the city.
replaced fish with crab and moved it up one.
Removed a dye in the Amazon.

Redid Vietnam:
Replaced tea near Rangoon with an incense
Added dye to Hanoi
Added coffee to Saigon
Added rice right of Ayythuya. Replaced (tea I think?) 1N of Hanoi with a rice
Added fish next to Saigon
Removed crab off of Hanoi
Added copper in jungle hill left of Hanoi
Replaced pig with tobacco
Added tea north of Saigon, across the mountain
Added incense 1SW of Saigon
Made a farm in Ayyathuya's fat cross a hilly jungle, along with a marsh south of Hanoi a hilly jungle, to simulate Vietnam.
Now all you need is a French conqueror event in Vietnam around 1900 to simulate all the problems there. + the coffee in Saigon will keep those full metal jackets flying.

Took out a gem from India.

Moved around resources in China:
Moved clam near Hong Kong further from Taiwan
Made the banana north of Hong Kong a hill.
Moved rice near Hong Kong to Hainon island
Replaced sugar near the coast with silk from west China
Removed copper from South China and put it 1s of Xi'an
Moved iron north of Xi'an to it's original place north of Beijing
Moved oil within Xi'an's fat cross
Added a coffee on the southwest Chinese city.

I notice a general trend of more resources.

There is, but mostly to buff civilization respawns. A lot of these I'd like to be dynamic.
+ why on earth don't most nations have coal.

jYjYkvf.png

I'll be removing that tobacco in China as it is better to represent them importing from America. + they have too many luxury resources.
EDIT: Removing the rice from next to Ayyathuyah. Forgot about the Khmer

EDIT:
Added tobacco to Zambia (south, middle Africa)
Removed tobacco from Colombia
Moved around resources so a megacity can't be made near Colombia.
Moved tobacco from near Georgia to on Charlestown.
Added 3 hills in Sweden.
Removed aluminum from north of Chicago, and removed the spice I replaced it with earlier (sorry Tomorrow's Dawn)
Added a tobacco to West Virginia

EDIT EDIT:
Moved a cotton in Kentucky to 3W and 1S of New Orleans
Fixed the entrance of the Mississippi River
Moved a cow from the Santa Fe mountains down between Santa Fe and Texas. Moved the coal up 1
Moved the corn 1N of Chicago to 1W of it. Added a forest 1N of Chicago
Removed the cow next to New Orleans, and put a cow in Tennessee within its fat cross

EDIT EDIT EDIT:
Replaced cow in Boston with wheat.
Replaced a wheat around Sioux falls with a pig.
Removed cotton from Colombia. Moved gold in the north to on the city.

Also:
Changed the hill 2W of the city in Colombia to a mountain, and the tile below that one to a hill. This allows an easier access to the banana and silver above Peru and east of Ecuador, and doesn't make it so you have to make a road ALL THE WAY around ecuador and Colombia. Look pretty snazzy too.
Moved the cotton for Arizona back to its original place.
Removed the tobacco on Charlestown, leaving 2 tobaccos in the US still.
Renamed Charlestown to Savannah
Replaced the tea near Edo back to a silk.
Added a dye on Savannah
Turned the west jungle in Florida to a marsh
Removed marsh 1N of Savannah
The forest 1NW of Savannah is now a hill
Changed the fish in Louisiana to clam
Changed the clam in California to a fish

Nope.

There is a source of Horse NE of Beijing in the 3000BC scenario.
Leoreth, I haven't touched 1700AD at all, but has it been removed from that one?

You did remove one:

I just ran a 1700 AD start to confirm.
It's NE of Beijing, SW of Shenyang.

Either that, or the screenshot hasn't scrolled up enough.

It's still there, 1N 2E of Beijing.

Just under the Shenyang interface.
Added a river bordering Calcutta (Hooghly River).
Removed the right side of the river in Bangladesh that exited into the ocean.
Removed the cotton in Calcutta.

Yeah, it's just the latter then.

Horses were indeed important for obvious reasons.
And RT was saying he was going to cut one resource.
But if Tobacco is going to be cut, that's fine.
I actually don't even know where Tobacco is grown in China,
and it was only introduced en masse by the CCP to wean the opium-addicted population
off their addiction and give them a lesser evil to substitute.
(We all know what happens when you try to yank an addict off a drug immediately)

Oh, why cut the Gems from India though?

Oh, why cut the Gems from India though?

Southwest is where tobacco is made, and lots of it. You're right, the CCP probably introduced it anyways.
India has a lot of resources, especially since I added the uranium and coal to India. Just wanted to remove a gem since they already had 3, and I added a couple gems elsewhere in the world.

Added Bangalore in 1700 map, with a cotton in its place.
Set half of the British redcoats in India to the Attack script.

may be you shoul add a tea resource to the turkey, as a dynamic resource around 1850's
1east of the horse, only big producer of europe-middle east

Good idea, since I removed their uranium and I love Turkish tea
what about Moroccan tea?
