Okay, I played my turns. Very little commentary as not much happened. Basically I just built infrastructure/garrison troops in our newly conquered cities (Theatres, Granaries, Courthouses, Barracks.) Built tons of workshops (basically anything that isn't a town.) Researched Biology, continued on to Steam Power->Railroad for faster production & troop transport.
I moved all Cossacks, Cannons, and Galleons to St. Petersburg.
I think Alex is the best target. I marked a landing spot with a sign. He's the biggest civ right now, his lands are pretty well protected from enemy culture, and he's also backwards from his recent war with Gandhi - 3 techs away from Rifles, 2 from Cavalry. Once we take him and absorb his cities we should win.
We have two galleons who will arrive at St. Pete's next turn, which will give us 5 & a frigate for the initial landing of our 11 best Cossacks & 4 cannons.
In about 5 turns we'll have another 5 galleons in position to send over the next wave. Since it's a 6 turn journey across the pondfloat, those two transport groups should be enough - after this next batch of galleons we can set those cities on other military.
I queued up a couple of settlers somewhere to fill in some gaps in our continent. I set culture to 20% to get faster border expansions for more land.
I think we should change civics to Theocracy/State Property/Caste System once the next batch of galleons is produced in two turns.

Yeah, I think we're good to go start shipping troops overseas after next turn. Alex isn't getting Rifles or Cavs for a long time (and Cossacks eat Cavalry) so it should be a cakewalk. After that I think it's just "Press Enter" for 20 turns while we wait for Domination to kick in...
One thing to try maybe - might want to hire some artists in Novgorod. A GA right now would be really nice for instant land in Greece.
Turn 3) 1688
Our fleet passes a small Greek taskforce. Carrying a settler and a couple of longbows, heading to the S end of our continent. I almost declare war here to sink the ships and prevent the landing. But since we're still a couple of turns from Greek land, I think we'd be better off surprising Alexander rather than give him time to add defenders to his coastal cities.
Turn 4) 1691
Abu BAkr (Great Prophet) is born. Send him to Susa to build the Church of the Nativity.
Dispatch 3 Cossacks from St. Petersburg to deal with the Greek landing at the same time we declare war.
Turn 5) 1694
Alexander founds Mycenae next to the horses to the S of our territory.
Turn 6) 1697
Learn Railroad. Set research to Rifling.
Build Church of the Nativity in Susa.
Turn 7) 1700
Versailles completes in Beijing
Settle Vladivostok on the "Settle Me" sign.
Turn 8) 1703
Declare war on Alexander. 17 Cossacks and 4 cannon land at Omaha Beach.
Turn 9) 1706
Trade pigs for gold with Frederick. (WW an instant problem)
Knossos is captured easily.
Turn 10) 1709
Frigates sink Greek Galleon in the ocean. Find 2 more Greek ships.
Handoff Note:
There are some units on automove, to St. Petersburg our launching point. Alexander doesn't have much to counter with, all but the Capital should be pretty easy to take. Cannon might even slow down the offensive.
Discover rifling, start constitution
Cossacks kill 4 knights and 3 cats by Thermopylae.
Turn 2
Move Cossacks into position, ready to attack.
Turn 3 1718
We take Thermopylae easily.
Turn 4 1721
Discovery constitution. Start Corporation.
Capture Corinth losing a Cossack in the process
Turn 5 1724
Our second wave of cannons and Cossacks board ships at St Petersburg and start the journey over.
Turn 6 1727
We capture Cherokee in the south
Up culture slider to 10% to combat war weariness.
Turn 7 1730
We discover Corporation.
Turn 8 1732
We take Athens
Turn 9 1734
We capture Giza, decide to raze as it is already on the Egyptian border with very little cultural output compared to the nearby Egyptian cities.
Turn 10 1736
Alex wants peace, i say no!
Move units that need healing back into cities ready for a next round of attacks.
We've taken some greek cities including the old capital. We're up to 43.9% of land coverage, once the old greek cities start expanding we hopefully wont have to far to go.
Sounds good Paulsy... we're getting close... Thrar is MIA - are you able to play again at all Xtream? If not, I won't be able to play until Monday most likely, so if you want a stab at if McLMan go ahead, otherwise I'll play then
Well, I'm home now, but I got roped into some more moving (my folks are moving into a new home, so there's tons of stuff to be done...) - so basically, I'm have a 24ish hour window to play and then I'll be gone for the rest of the week until the weekend.
Sorry for all the hassle, I didn't really know this was going to happen until yesterday night...
So, if y'all want me to play anytime soon, I'll need to grab something today Right now I'm just catching up in all the threads.
OK, I'm in a bit of a bind and will get to it between now and Saturday. If anybody else want's to pick it up sooner please be my guest. I'll post again when I intend to play.
