If he can't release it in the US (which he said) he probably should try out a new sort of distribution, it could be the first major movie to be free for download (legally). It would definitely prove that he's not only in for the money.
He can release in the States. It just means he (and Harvey Weinstein) will get less of the distribution profits.

Mike's films have a worldwide audience , and it's not just because of the comedy in them. Clearly the slight truth-bending is not anywhere near significant enough to justify [*not] discounting his work as non-documental propaganda. To focus only on that seems petty IMO.

[EDIT: * = should be just 'discounting']

I voted Propagandist. It seems fairly obvious that he's just playing the crowd; telling them what they want to hear. Would make a good politician. ;)

At least he isn't as rude as post-political Al Franken. Mr. Franken just seems to attack his opponents personally. I miss the pre-political Al Franken!

Um.....have you even heard Moore talk lately? Like with Wesley Clark and at the Oscars? Ouch.....

I think he's in between (as I pick splinters out of my rear from all that fence-sitting), but instead of labels....he is what he is and people will either like it or hate it or just don't give a rat's.....um....tail. I wonder how much debate would surround a right-winger of Moore's type. Maybe less, maybe more...but, really, it should be up to the individual to form their own opinions after watching or reading his work.
