Cannes has awarded Archer 007 the "Massive Unsupportable Statement of The Year Award!"

Rather sad, really.

Oh come on. Anti-Americanism in Europe is at an all-time high, and most of it is directed at Bush and his cronies. You can't deny that.

A guy comes to France, puts on a film flaming the Bush administration, claims he has been "censored" by the evil Americans, and you don't expect him to win? This is nothing surprising. Moore gave them exactly what they wanted.

Well, considering the panel included Quentin Tarantino, an American, I think Curt could give you a joint award!

Archer implied that French hate Americans, a statement which is complete garbage - To put it in staight terms.

Do not mistake 'Anti-Bush sentiment' for 'Anti-USA sentiment'.
Lest you wish to appear to be whining for sympathy.

I know serveral French and Americans and we all get on fine, with no patriot crap.

"The Righteous Bush Defence Award" is still up for grabs! :)

If anything, the presence of Quentin Tarantino strengthens the anti-American (or Anti-Bush, whatever you want to call it) argument; as with most Hollywood folk, Mr. Tarantino is very lefty and not a huge fan of the current administration.

Many conservatives are also not a fan of the US admin.

Just because I hate commies, does not mean I have to love the Texas blundermeister.

Five minutes ago, you were saying the Europeans were to blame SN! Now you say it's Hollywood lefties! Make up your mind!

Learn how to follow an argument. You stated that the presence of Americans at Cannes refuted my argument that widescale Anti-Americanism among Europeans helped this film win. I merely pointed out that the type of Americans present did no such thing and more likely actually aided it. I did not change my initial argument at all.

Mr. Moore noted that four of the nine jurors were American: Mr. Tarantino, Kathleen Turner, the director Jerry Schatzberg, and the Haitian-born novelist Edwidge Danticat. "I fully expect the Fox News Channel and other right-wing media to portray this as an award from the French," Mr. Moore said. Only one juror, the actress Emanuelle Béart, is a French citizen.

"If you want to add Tilda," he said referring to the British actress Tilda Swinton, "then you could say that more than half came from the coalition of the willing." (The rest of the panel was made up of Benoit Poelvoode, a Belgian actor; Peter von Bagh, a Finnish critic; and the Hong Kong director Tsui Hark.)

Everyone knows that actors and directors all live in cloud-****oo land anyway.

I reckon radioactive monkeys would be a better subject than most of Moore's melodramatics.

The president of the jury is an american. Also, I think most of the jury isn't french.

Yikes! Tomberry was an account I had 3 years ago. It was an error that I log on it. Oh well, just keep in mind that "tonberry" and "tomberry" are the same person. Now I have to kill tomberry for good...

Ofcourse you've seen the movie?

When one supports Bush, one doesn't need to be bothered with details like that!
