I've always thought a great tv show would be Moore arguing against Limbaugh at an all you can eat buffet restaurant. Would they be able to keep yelling at each other with all those food options around? Would they rant with thier mouths full? Would I ever be tempted off my diet again?

I'd like Moore to explore the CIA-Pakistan-Taliban connection, if that mother of all intrigues that is ISI can be penetrated. The head of ISI (Pakistan's secret service) openly states that 9/11 was an American plot. Have him say it again on camera, with a gorgeous backdrop of poppy fields and apache helicopters.

I'm afraid Mr Moore, as skilled as he is, has over-estimated his capabilities. Face it - even if he finds something credible, nobody with doubt will accept it anyway, and he looses much (if not all) of the respect and credibility he has accumulated so far.

Fame and success must have gone to his head. A pity.

"Finds something credible"? "Conspiracy ****"? What is it with y'all! He is making a movie about the open, previously revealed facts that are out there in all their disturbing alacrity for anyone with the interest to investigate a bit- and shame on the mainstream press for not having done so.

He isn't going to do investigative work, he isn't going to reveal that "George was behind it all" (if he did find proof, we'd need to put ol' George in jail right away for his own safety). He is going to highlight Bush's long history of association with the Bin Ladens and then point out- doubtless preaching to a largely converted choir- the insensitive and disgusting manner in which Bush has taken the tragedy of 9/11 and turned it into his license to do whatever he likes with that legacy; hiding behind it when he has to, trotting it out when it isn't appropriate, and, well, selling pictures of himself on that tragic day to raise money for his campaigns. Nobody who finds Moore credible now will change their opinion or vice versa.

Consider it a feature length commercial for the next president.

Yeah, I have to agree. I really loved "TV Nation" (the HBO show) and his movies as well. He started to lose credability with me on this issue with a couple of the 'open letters' he tends to circulate around the internet, and the Oscars thing did me in.

I partially agree with what he said, but he picked a bad day to say it, and a bad place to say it. I do think his success is going to his head, and that is too bad. Progressives have so few articulate spokes-people who are actually willing to take on the conservatives.

I guess the price of fame is that you have to have more care about what you say, and where.

I'd suggested Moore (assuming he enjoys conspiracy) do Pakistan instead, if only for the improved scenery, and the incredible assertion by Pakistan's head of intelligence that "9/11 was an American plot".

Immortal then pasted my quote of General Mehmood Ahmad without reference, and you assumed a poster had made the statement. I'm unsure how a stupefying "loon" gets to be in charge of an immensely powerful super-intelligence agency (it practically rules the country, and is deeply involved in the region). He must have some motive for making the claim.
