Hmmm, thing is if we use a male leaderhead for the Moriquendi, then we're still short one Elvish leaderhead -- we'd have to use either William of Orange or Comanthir for one of our Elvish civs. You are right about the forest background, though. Besides, Legolas was the prince of a Moriquenderin realm. Hmmm. If we settled on Galadriel as leader of the Moriquendi, then we'd have to decide between:
Legolas (sween) = Gil-galad
High Elf (embryodead) = Thingol
Legolas (sween) = Thingol
High Elf (embryodead) = Gil-galad
Are either of those combinations workable? If not, then we have to decide who will be the third male leaderhead, which brings us back to deciding between William and Comanthir again (and that's a choice between a rock and a hard place, if you ask me).
My feeling is 'Legolas' would be a better Gil-galad than a Thingol (because of the youth of the leaderhead), and 'High Elf' would be a better Thingol than a Gil-galad (because of the age of the leaderhead). For some reason, Gil-galad always struck me as a youngish king (although Elves are always supposed to look youngish, aren't they?

). At least he died before his time, you could say. Thingol, however, was around for eons. Am I way off on that?
Oh, and of course, a big thank-you to tjedge1 and then Drift!
EDIT: What the hang is Thingol's hair colour supposed to be? How about Gil-galad's?
EDIT2: There were forests in Lindon, no? (But not that foresty, right?

)
