That is Oberst (Bundeswehr) Erich Hartmann, 352 kills as a fighter pilot, top scoring fighter ace of all times. Only to end this picture question. However, what picture is the real one? I am a bit confused.

its now BUGFATTY's turn.
ill stay low for a while, hoarding some difficult pics.

@Bug- Is it the bluff above Vicksburg at the Siege of Vicksburg in Civil War?

Your answer is correct Syde. Battle of the Crater, 1864.

Your turn.

Sorry for the delay

Name the battle and/or the leaders on each side.

looks like the battle of Allepo (1197) seljuks VS Roger of Antioch
but my first guess would have to be battle of Hattin, 1187
in which....
Saladin defeats the Crusaders in an area northwest of Lake Tiberias and assumes control of most of the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem. The Crusaders should never have left Sephoria - they were defeated as much by the hot desert and lack of water as they were by Saladin's army. Raymond of Tripoli dies of his wounds after the battle. Reynald of Chantillon, Prince of Antioch, is personally beheaded by Saladin but the other Crusader leaders are treated better. Gerard de Ridefort, the Grand Master of the Knights Templar, and the Grand Master of the Knights Hospitaller are ransomed. After the battle Saladin moves north and captures the cities of Acre, Beirut, and Sidon with little effort.

Nope. I am the Future already tried Saladin.

It's an earlier massacre, uh, battle.

Soul Warrior: It's a Luftwaffe pilot with the Knights Cross, Swords and Oak leaves which narrows it down but who it is ....

EDIT: Wow, Adler is too fast again...! Are you telling me you can see the diamonds on his Knights Cross or did you recognise him?!

I did recognize the picture of him as it is in one of my books.
