Minecraft

I've completed my greatest work yet: the scatter shot cannon. It can shoot up to 10 TNT to the target. When the cluster reaches target, two TNT explode, scattering the rest, which then a little later explode too causing large damage. The cave in the picture was created by my cannon. Btw building and testing cannons uses a lot of TNT, just one shot requires a quarter stack (16TNT). I've propably used up some 6 stacks already

pretty awesome :)

nice :goodjob:

i'm not really sure why, but most of the time i play a game of minecraft i always end up with a big tower that has my house on top, and a mine underneath, i have no imagination

If you need inspiration, I recommend surfing the internet (Minecraft forums for example). That's where I got the idea for a cannon. The scatter shot was my idea though (haven't heard anyone doing that sort of thing).

pretty awesome :)

Thanks

How did you do the scattershot? Hit each TNT at different times?

I'll have to test this out.

How did you do the scattershot? Hit each TNT at different times?

I'll have to test this out.

In the picture attached, number 1 leads to the two TNTs that will scatter the 8 others. Number 2 leads to the 8 other TNTs. As you can see, they activate a little later that the other two. Number 3 leads two the 6 TNTs that will send the other 10 flying. Number 4 is the tower where the TNTs are housed. They're stacked so that they will all fall on top of each other. They're also surrounded by cobblestone, because when activated they tend to move a little. If they don't fall right, the cannon might explode. All these circuits are attached to a button, so that I don't need to hit the blocks individually (all I need to do is load it up and press the button). While my instructions are by no means complete, you get the basic idea.

Here's two shots of my attempted M4 Sherman recreation in minecraft. I notice several errors that I intend to fix, but this is what I have at the moment.

I have minecraft finally! Reading this forum convinced me to get it - you guys deserve a commission. :commerce: :high5:

Update. :D However I had to force it. Played it for 30 minutes and didn't find any wolves or get any achievements.

The achievements aren't in it yet, that's why. ;)

Wolves must be pretty rare then.

I can only play at my sister's place at the moment, and her PC sucks. The lag is so bad I've had to use peaceful most of the time. Getting the bones to use on the wolves might be tricky. Looks like a good reason to build a giant mob collecting contraption.

I’ve been able to focus on development a lot the last couple of weeks, and we’re hoping to get the new update out soon. It will include the wolves, the ability to change your spawn point, and a rather ambitious statistics tracking and achievement system.

They should be, however the stats are not in, so I'll guess they're not in either.

They also added cookies. Guess I'm off to find the recipe on the wiki :p

EDIT: they need cocoa beans, which apparently will be found in dungeons. :(

Oh yeah, I got the info from his twitter. He said they're not working yet so they're coming later. He thought we'd like the rest of the stuff anyway though.

Wiki V. History said:
Added new block, Locked Chest, also known as Steve Co. Supply Chest, same skin as chest, gives Team Fortress 2 type message box when right clicked, emits light, cannot be broken.

I have to go find one of these.
