Wow mash it up with Dwarf Fortress and throw in some Morrowing/Oblivion character design and quests and I'd be hooked.


I could see the character design as: Warrior: moves +1 blocks; Destruction: Moves +3 blocks for 20 mana.

How, as all the games I mentioned are basically sandbox games, excepting some have rather lame central quests that don't have to be done at all.

I hope not, that would be really annoying.

I don't see the chances of lightning striking pigs to be very high. What is powered rail?

I assume they're rails powered by redstone. Maybe to make carts move automatically.

I wonder how it will work but its way past time Notch put some kind of real power in for carts. Minecart Mania has been a huge help in SMP since it allows you to actually use them effectively.

I just hope they're faster than powered-minecarts are at the moment. It's totally not worth it. More fun to exploit boosters IMO.

I wonder how it will know which direction you want the cart to move in.

That's good. I haven't been playing with minecarts at all as of now. This finally gives me a reason to do so.

Inside the following spoilers, I have a number of shots for you. All of my old worlds were deleted, so I started a new one. It's going pretty well atm, although I know I might not have the most impressive structures. Just take a look and tell me what you think.

This is the first house I built. The floor is pure dirt, it was only a semi-pretty hovel I used as a temporary home while gathering resources. After I was done with getting a lot of cobblestone, I began building my fortress.

The fortress is below. It has two levels, where the upper is practically only a living bedroom tower and some roof structures, and the lower is my small courtyard and workshop. Also, I was tired of creepers blowing up the walls every time I went out of the door, so I made the bridgelike structure around my castle as well as the moat. It's a pretty safe place.

This is my courtyard. Note that I have made small holes to look through. It's valuable by knowing whether it's day or night.

This is my bedroom. Not much to say here - I'm considering expanding it or something, possibly making all of the walls woollen and colored to prettify it. It would, however, require a major rework on the main castle structure. It might just be easiest to build another fortress.

Here's the interesting part! First off, it's a panorama view of all of my buildings. Secondly, it's an outhouse I built solely for one reason... I captured four cute wolves! And of course they need somewhere nice to hang around! So I made this outhouse, just for them.

Finally, this is the outhouse. I tried to make it feel natural and comfy, but it will of course never fully resemble their wild home in the forests. I hope they will feel at home, though, there was really put love and care into the building. I love my pups. Their names are Archimedes, Fetcher, Toffi and Damien. Take a look at their home. You can see them hang out in there too.
