Minecraft

What is more impressive is the technical feat of it. This was done totally server side, so once the code is developed further I can add things directly to the server and anyone with that map can watch it!

Ok, so I'm trying to install Misa's, but I put it in the texturepack folder, and hit patch (yes it's the newest version). When I go into minecraft, the the texture pack selection screen has a grayed out option saying Misa210.zip. What am I doing wrong?

Unzip and rezip if you are on OS X

Ok, I got it. you hve to zip all the stuff in the file, not just zip the file.

Bragging time!

I was digging around in my game when I came across a series of caves which gave me probably my most epic loot collection ever. My first trip gave me:

  • 6 strings
  • 59 coals
  • 92 redstone
  • 4 diamond
  • 7 gunpowder
  • 1 bucket
  • 2 saddles
  • 35 iron

I had to stop to get more torches. Possibly the begginning of my most epic find ever.

Never stop for torches. Carry a stack of logs with you to craft torches from. Use the coal you've been mining :D

The largest natural findings of diamond I got from one mining trip was 17 pieces. Booyah. It took quite a while to collect though.

I don't remember exactly but I have found well over 300 coal, most of a stack of diamonds, over a stack of gold, a few stacks or so of iron, and too much damn redstone and a some lapis. Mine this was back in World 3 where croxis turned up the rate of resource a wee bit too high but I still get at least astack of iron on most mining trips as it is (ineed today I got over 3 stacks of iron, 9 gold, 7 diamonds, too much redstone again, and two stacks of lapis plus 4 stacks of coal with one cave system. Also found 3 stacks of brown shrooms.

Hey, I had no problems with all that huge diamond vein ;).

Leaves = fire :D

The coal was insane but everything else was just right so I actually ended up with tonnes of metal blocks to use for projects (though I never really did decide on the colour pattern).

Minecraft is going to be redone for the XBox360 and the Kinect (by a different team as Notch has no idea how to code for the console).

Source

Not that I can think of a reason for anyone who already owns it to care.

That's... Interesting. I have no idea about how well that will go. Well. At least he's getting more attention!

I saw someone use Kinect on comp for minecraft. Looked kinda sucky next to comp.

I am very sceptic about it.
Not because it doesn't look good visually, but it's a definate ripoff. Terraria at least tried to make itself more original or different from Minecraft.
