I know someone who claims to want the poison for a benevolent reason; I'd be happy to acquire it on his behalf, to keep it safe from thieves.

If someone turns up poisoned, then it's on my head, at which point I will offer his.

Let's face it. I am the only one capable of using this poison for the betterment of all (ie, in ways other than killing people). Let me hold it for a while at the very least.
