Minor Suggestions Thread

The Oracle is an ancient wonder, so does Stonhenge.

I put Pyramids in the ancient category also, then realised that the "Pyramid of Kulkallan" was a actually misnomer for the Temple of Kulkallan.

It's in the Greek UHV list, so I consider the Oracle Classical, and it's unlikely to be built by anyone before the classical age unless it is the human player building it through beeline.
The one I forgot instead is the Hanging Gardens, although the marble list remains longer, not to mention the importance of wonders compared.

Misnomer ? It is a pyramid >_>

monotheism seems to require both polytheism and masonry, but only has a link connecting polytheism->monotheism

That's because techs have both AND requirements (need to know all techs required in this way) as well as OR requirements (need to know only 1 tech required in this way). AND requirements show up as the icon in the upper right corner; OR requirements show up with the arrow. You need 1 of the OR requirements and all of the AND requirements to research a tech. This is true of the unmodded game and (almost) all mods.

If arrows are "or" and icons are "and" that still doesn't make sense since Monotheism has 1 arrow leading to it (Polytheism) and 1 icon (Masonry). You can't have 1 "or" because that isn't an option really.

A minor suggestion, may have been brought up already, but I was playing through with Greece, and in this particular session, I was trying to establish a strong Bronze Age civilization, with the bases being the Minoan Civilization of Crete. However... there's no copper on Crete! I understand (I don't know for sure) if there's no copper there because in today's world there is no copper (atleast, of minable amounts) left. But prior to Greece's Classical Era was the Bronze Age dominated by the Minoan Civilization, using copper on their island combined with tin imported to create the bronze artifacts most people are commonly familiar with.

Nah, if there should be any copper it should be in non-existent Cyprus. There's already copper in the Balkans. From wikipedia's history on the name Cyprus:

Another school suggests that it stems from the Eteocypriot word for copper. Georges Dossin, for example, suggests that it has roots in the Sumerian word for copper (zubar) or for bronze (kubar), from the large deposits of copper ore found on the island. Through overseas trade the island has given its name to the Classical Latin word for the metal through the phrase aes Cyprium, "metal of Cyprus", later shortened to Cuprum.

In one of my games, Jerusalem was Babylonian, the barb cities in Asia Minor were razed, in addition to ALL independent cities, and no one had founded Christianity (playing as rome). Then I see the founding message for Christianity, and I'm puzzled, because I can see the whole Mediterranean. So I go into the world builder, and to my shock, Chrisitianity has apparently been founded by default in a formerly Chinese city (Xi'an) that has just been captured by the barbarians! This doesnt seem like it should happen.

other than Islam, all religions are based upon tech. The 3000 BC era is based around giving historical areas a better shot at developing it, but not guaranteed.

I've had Buddhism founded by Rome.

All religions are based on tech. Islam is as well, it is just rare that anyone gets Divine Right before Arabia Spawns.
At the same time Christianity will be founded on a certain turn in an independent Jerusalem (not sure if it applies to an occupied Jerusalem). I don't know if there is a similar thing for other religions.

Fairly early. Even on Monarch level it's impossible when playing Eqypt to get Monotheism before Judaism is founded. Within 25 turns or so.

Yeah, your right. I only realized this I believe yesterday when I was doing some research on the Punic Wars, and some how that led me back to the Bronze Age (don't remember how I made that exact leap). Rereading what I had already read on the Minoan Civilization, I realized that it was Cyprus, not Crete, that the copper was shipped from. As for the tin, not sure where (but tin isn't really that important for Civ4) exactly that was coming from. I believe it was eastern colonies.
