Sometimes, speaking in other tongues, the AI opponents say phrases that sound really funny! Two of my favorites are:
Askia says : I dig a booty.
Genghis Khan says : Me sausage man.
'
Anyone else notice things like this? Maybe I play too much.

When trading with Darius it sounds like he says: "Be cool, Rabushi"

Genghis sounds to me like he's saying "my sausage wang" :rotfl:

Moderator Action:  ahem...this is please the most inappropriate thing I read here, thanks.

I always thought Askia was saying "I tag a booty."

Haha, yes to Genghis. Although I've always heard it as "Eat sausage, man!" like he was advertising :p

When Sejong accepts a trade he says something that sounds exactly like 'I guess so'.

And I always hear Genghis' phrase as 'Hey sausage man'... though I can also hear the somewhat ruder version, come to think of it!

Askia sounds, to me, like he's saying "Aiee de goo day". That language he speaks is certainly very different from English.
And speaking of English, whenever I hear Washington say "Your wanton aggression has not gone unnoticed", all I hear is hypocrisy.

Hey, it's politics! Whether it's international or domestic, it is FROM a politician. Of COURSE it's lies, half-truths, taken totally out of context, or hypocritical!

Are you trying to say that you believe all (or even 'much' of) they say is the unvarnished truth, regardless of who it is?
That would take true LEADERSHIP!

Nah, I just can't understand what most of them are saying. And so I don't get so annoyed when, for example, Siam denounces me for allying their favorite city-state.

I love when Dido says something like "prukku" XD

It doesn't mean anything but I love hearing it :crazyeye: the sound is so horrible that it makes me laugh every time.

When Wu accepts a deal she says: "works for me".

It is well known that Wu has a crush on Fred Dryer, so she uses his tag line. If she had a crush on Clint Eastwood she would say "Make my day." when you entered her Diplomacy screen. Now if Attila had a man crush on Clint it would be " This is a .44 Magnum the .........":mischief:

"Shiko emi chuchu chillia oso shiko ini pona panos"

cookie to who this is

Genghis' "Eat sausage, man" is the funniest I know of so far. :D

Boudicca's " whore" is just weird. It kind of surprised me when I first heard it, and then after that disturbing episode I proceeded to declare war on her. :)

Sejong sounds like he's saying "I guess so" because in Korean he's saying "Al-gess-oh" which does sound phonetically similar, somewhat. But the actual line means "I know [of it]" or "Understood."
