You’ve heard the all the arguments, read the 9,000 threads devoted to them, and spent an entire week playing one of each just to see for yourself, but now we really will know: which is better, the CE or SE??

[cue dramatic music]

Rivals: 6
Difficulty: Monarch
Map: Lakes (I think)
Size: Standard
Speed: Normal
Victory: All Enabled, but you need to win via space.
Variant Rules: No barbarians.

You must run either a straight cottage or specialist economy (which means NO cottages), which means:
CE players:
* Can never *hire* specialists (only citizens), but free GPs, wonder-based ones are okay, as are using them for whatever ends. However, the SoL and Mercantilism, which *hires* a specialist for free are out. ("if you can't choose it, you can use it")
SE players:
* Can never cottage, and must raze captured ones as well.

Dramatis Personae:
Specialist Economies:
TriviAl as Elizabeth of the English
r_rolo as Qin Shi Huang of the Chinese
Ad Hoc as Ramesses of the Egyptians
Quotey as Lincoln of the Americans
Kanga Du as Peter of the Russians
Morganknight as Frederick of the Germans
blid as Augustus of the Romans
shadzy19 as Gandhi of the Indians
glenmetz as Wang Kon of the Koreans

Cottage Economies:
Ozbenno as Elizabeth of the English
swiss pauli as Victoria of the English
The_LastOne as Darius of the Persians
Kodii as Van Orange of the Dutch
Tatran as Wang Kon of the Koreans
Robo Kai as De Gaulle of the French
Ralph Jackson as Hannibal of the Carthaginians
pawelo as Pacal of the Mayans

and starring the indomitable, well-groomed, devilishly handsome:
PHOLKHERO (maybe)

Players will be judged by total commerce output (GNP) as well as most beakers per city, most beakers per civ, and most beakers per team.

Again, this is on my 'to-do' list for tonight, so I will put a game together and try to WB the save as well ~

So umm do we post and you just edit the op? or are you gonna reply with the saves and starts? :p

If so, i guess i made a "reserved post" for you

Rserved for Darius of Persia

Hi Pholk,

seeing how groups aren't even, would you mind another player in the SE roster ? going by the name of Augustus Caesar

Part 1 - 2000 BC

Part 2 - 375 BC

Part 3 - 800 AD

Freddy is ready!

Looks like a fun game and I missed the registration :(
Arent you going to be playing yourself Pholk?
In case you need 1 more im game!
CE or SE doesnt matter .
For SE I would take Ghandi and for CE Mansu Musa.

np if im to late , il definatly lurk in that case.

Reserved for the one with the building that gives +1 food.

I played a few games as Lincoln, and I must say he's awesome for the SE. But I also played a few Surya games, and I'll comment on them eventually.

Reserved for Pacal, the king of the beaker

Episode 1: The new hope 4000 BC - 2000 BC
Episode 2: Maya strikes back 2000 BC - 0375 BC

Pholk,

Seeing myself out of my RL troubles (I'm rather a happy optimistic fellow :D) pretty soon, can you still sign me as CE Pacal ?
I'll catch up as soon as possible (might miss a few first deadlines though)

Thanks

For SE I would take Ghandi

can you still sign me as CE Pacal ?

I'd love to join as Wang Kon of the Specialist Koreans

okay you'se jerks ~ can't sign up during the 8000 posts discussing the game, want to sign up now ~ *grumble, grumble*

okay, you're all in ~ I'll take a CE spot to even things up, but if someone else wants in, they're more than welcome.

in other news, oz showed me what i need to do to edit the save files, and it's going to take a little longer than i thought. I'm going to try and work on these all through today and tomorrow, and hope to have everything done by friday at the latest.

and all the saves will be in a new post ~

Reserved as RamBamMan of the Egyptians
