Mod Component Requests Thread

i would like a working mod for BtS 3.19
that allows nukes to destroy cities AND be pre-targeted to other civ's cities
Basically a working MAD nuke mod...

I already requested this function in another thread and was told that it couldn't be done.

I'm in need for a gladiator promotion that allows a unit to gain experience by being in a city with a colosseum. Apparently giving a unit experience can only be done by connecting it to an action, but I was hoping for a more automatic thing.

I had another idea for an effect where a building, or a unit when stationed in a city, creates an effect that counts all tiles in the city radius as Land Worked. This could be used to speed up the growth of cottages.

Does anyone think they could pull this off?

Why can't they update the MAD mod? Wouldn't it just be adding it into the 3.19 SDK with the needed changes.

just look within the MODS section of this site. I downloaded one version of the dll that gives me access to 50 civs. Been using it with the Legends of Revolutions MOD, and I have had wonderful success with it.

Mod to prevent leader/filename overlap?

Every time I start a custom game with the same leader, I have to change his name to prevent the new saves from prompting an overwrite of the old saves. Any way to fix that? Could be automatic random leader namer, automatically saving in subdirectories, (real life) dated saves, or some other way to make it so I don't have to mess with it.

I'd like to request a building (for a wonder) that prevents any rival civilization from throwing nuclear weapons on your terrain. If not possible, a building with a 100% chance to intercept any nuclear weapon fired on your terrain.

You could just use the SDI, change the maximum instaces per game and the interception rate.

I know, but I'd like to have a building that can be conquered, gives GP points and has a model in a city.

I would like the "Larger City Radius and Open Borders Tech Trading" compatible with bts 3.19, vanilla 1.74 or last warlords pacht.

Thanks!

Mmhh...that can't be done directly, only with spawning the project after building a fake building, i guess.

It sounds like a decent idea, but shouldn't the unit have a chance of dieing the longer you leave it in?

I think there's a mod (doesn't FFH do this?) that has a larger city radius for at least one city based on the building of a national wonder.

What do you mean by Open Borders Tech Trading: that you can trade tech with a country with whom you enjoy open borders, or do you mean you get tech trading at the same time as Writing?

This may have already been requested or attempted, but is there any way to make a Great Admiral modcomp? I think it'd be cool to be able to give a stack of ships XP or create a Naval Academy or something. I think there is a Renaissance-looking GG in the DB that could be used as the unit. I'm not sure how it would look if you paired it up with a ship though but its an idea and I think it should have been in the game anyway.

Plus I am trying to see if adding a Pirates modcomp to my mod is possible (hopefully the J can come up with something) and I think it'd be cool for a new Pirate civ to start with a GAdmiral.

Is there any mod that can do this:
The option of "Show Enemy Moves" only tracks big stacks or enemy units in player cultural boundaries
?

If I'm not mistaken, you can already do this by just loading the GG onto a ship and he should be able to lead the stack of ships. Keep in mind, I haven't tried it but it makes sense to me.

I'm actually quite sure you can't do that, I'll try it out though. But even then I still think it would be cool to make a Naval Commander citizen unit (similar to the Drill Instructor) or to build a Naval Academy (like the West Point National Wonder) which would work the same way except just for Naval units.

Yeah, GGs can already join ships. In fact attaching a GG to a Privateer is a pretty popular play (very highly promoted privateers lead by a GG can pay back in divendeds with the ammount of GG points they can earn).
