[MOD] Fall from Heaven II

it works now. I have cleared the BTS cache, and not it lists (in game) the mod, before it was invisible to it.

Ah damn! You really should have stated that patch b breaks savegames in this thread, too. Now I can't finish my game anymore, that sucks.

So everyone: Patch b is NOT savegame compatible!

But very impressive fixing speed, Kael! :)

Patch "b" is uploaded and linked in the first post. It will break save games and makes the following changes.

So JDexter, read the notes a little more carefully next time...

Kael? anyone? (though the music does play ingame)

They are in the AoI sounds/Soundtrack directory. I think Mulcarns diplomacy is the defeat and Kylorins is the victory soundtrack.

Firstly, is there any reason I wouldn't be able to build a spider cage in my capital besides already having built one? I have a giant spider in my capital, i haven't built a cage in any city, and yet I do not recieve the option in the unit action bar. I tried another city, same thing.

Secondly, it seems every time I try to play the map set at huge, 3 continents, rocky, low sea level my civs start at the bottom of the map connected to the snowy area in a small continent with at most one civilzation near me. I've tried regenerating the map over and over with no luck. I realize I could change the settings, but is there a mod or something else I can do to improve this while still using the FFH2 Mod?

You need the animal handling tech to build a spider cage.

Like dardekkis said, is there anywhere you can view your current mana income? Thanks for any help.

One way is to bring up the pedia entry on Resources. If you mouse over any of the resources, including mana, it will tell you how many you are bringing in.

Another way is to bring up the Foreign Advisor and look on the Resources view. You'll have to look at the Surplus line at the top and then import/export columns.

Patch "d" is linked in the first post. It fixes the following issues:

1. Increased the chance to create werewolves from combat.
2. Fixed the broken graphics on the Large Animal Stable.
3. Fixed the "Waiting on Player" spinlock when switching players.
4. Fixed the startWar error in CallHolyWar.
5. Cut the War Chariots event.
6. Fixed an issue where promotions werent passed by combat (Disease, etc).

Will patch 'd' break savegames?

"b" does, so it will break it if you are coming from base 0.25 or 0.25a but not if you are coming from "b" or "c".

Right, I should have mentioned I'd already patched to 'c'.

Another question, though: I saw in the FFH-thread somewhere that it's possible to transfer the trophy hall from one version to the next - does this work with 0.25 too? Seeing as it's no longer Vanilla-based?

Probably not, since I see the trophies on your ToDo-List... but I hate losing all the trophies I've already collected!

This MOD is awesome! The mod is fun to play multiple times! Thanks to the team!

Some suggestions for further improvement:

Armageddon counter seems a-symetric. It seems too easy to get it high. What if cities are created and deliberately raised, again and again. The Armaggeddon counter would rise, even though it should not in my eyes. The world did not change (ceteris paribus). Of course this is only a constructed example. Also, I have to admit, I have played only a few times and other players may have made different experiences. But playing the ashen veil and even at a difficuly level higher than I usually play, I find it easy to raise.

The AI always trains their adepts in combat instead of magic. Probably it also has difficulties using magic correcty (I only experienced a dragon use it correctly, but of course this is no proof). This is surely hard to code and a lot of work...
