[MOD] Fall from Heaven II

And another one:

The AC isn't working as it should:
Map size is huge. The Sheanim have founded AV amd have the Stigma of the unborn in that AV holy City. The Size of that AV holy city is 5. The AC is 38.

When I now invade that city and raze it, the AC should drop by 8 (-5 for razing the Stigma of the Unborn, -5 for razing the AV holy city and +2 for razing a city between size 4 and 8 due to the FFH2-Wiki) plus modifiers for map size. But it doesnt drop at all - it just raises for two (the 2 for city size I assume) and brings exactly that what i wanted to prevent - blight.

This is a quite critical bug, since it really makes intervention to a rising AC almost impossible...

I had an issue with werewolves in my last game( BTS 2.025k).

The BTS AI doesn't protect its workers like the vanilla AI during war and its really easy to capture AI workers with movement 3 werewolves. This is no different than any fast unit in BTS but the wolves were promoted to blooded and greater werewolves. It makes it very easy to produce an overpowered werewolf army.

I was able to spread the Order to a city that already had the AV by simply using an acolyte.
Thats indented. In shadow this will lead to some events.

Oh. Seems like I've missed that. Sorry then.

Besides, woldn't it be good if purifying the AV in any way would lower the AC?
If I raze a city with AV the AC (should) gets lowered, but it doesn't if I clear it out with an Inquisitor.

On the other hand purging the Order with an Inquisitor could of course raise the AC, too.

Applying this to the "Purge the Unfaithful" Ritual as well, would also be interesting.

Just my 2 cents...

Does anyone else have this problem?

My computer completely crashes everytime I build the Genesis...

I've reloaded it several times now but right after I complete Genesis, my whole computer freezes then goes to a black screen, then goes BEEP BEEP, then it stays black forever...

Well, Genesis is a very resource demanding effect. So probably your computer just can't take it. Best way to check would be to build Genesis on the smallest map possible.

Well, I do have an old computer and it does play Civilization with quite a bit of lag. I was playing on a tiny map an everytime I built it, my computer crashes. What if the A.I builds it?

Does there exist a changelog, which shows the changes between different versions of this mod? I would be interested in particular in the changes between version 0.23 and 0.25, but similar questions might come up from other users again and again as the project progresses further. Sorry if I missed an obvious link...

Gratulations again to the team, this is probably the best mod I have ever seen! Without it CIV4 would IMHO fall way behind CIV3CONQUEST Keep up the good work!

I can confirm this - had the same thing a couple of games (and patches) back: razed the AV holy city and nothing happened to the AC!

There isn't a changelog between those versions. Version 0.23 is the last version produced for vanilla Civ4. Version 0.25 is a complete rewrite of the mod from the bottom up to run on BtS. It wasn't that we took the 0.23 and changed some things (so no changelog) but that we tried to get FfH on BtS to do all the things that FfH did on Civ4.

So there are tons of changes, some intentional (things we added in during the process like Unique Features), some just rewritten for a variety of reasons (there are no targeted spells anymore since the AI couldnt use them) and some accidental. There are also a few functions from 0.23 that havent been converted yet (the mana bar and the sprawling trait).

That doesn't even account for all the changes introduced by the new Warlords and BtS code that we inherited.

Is there (or perhaps will there be) something like a Pegasus in this mod? It could be used as a replacement for the basic aircraft unit -- it flies, can perform recon, and take on a hero unit as a passenger (rider). With a hero on its back could be used for air combat. For evil Civs a nazgul-like unit might be in order. ;)

Just a thought...

I'm having the same issue as others are. I try to load a game (I have patch k installed on 0.25 with BTS) but as it begins to generate a map I get the "Encountered Error blah blah" message. I've tried this a number of times to no avail. Any help?

The only reason I know why you would crash just before the game starts is if your computer can't display movies.

As for being unable to load saves, the only time I have seen that is if the save was made with earlier version fo the mod (if you save the game, then patch you will be unable to load the save file).

Actually Bink can cause that crash even on computers that can display other movies. This was a rather common problem with most Paradox Entertainment games (Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron and such). There you just deleted the avi folder, no idea of a similar way around the video problems is possible here.

I had no difficulties ever before. I played .24 a month or so ago and had no problems at all. But .25 is giving me the error. So I'm pretty certain my computer can handle the movies (unless you added tons of stuff to .25). Any suggestions?

Re: spreading Order and Veil in the same city.

It would appear that some events are already implelemented. I did this twice in cities with a Temple of the Overlords, and it turned all my living warrior units into the Drown! Pretty cool, eh, if a little random.

Hey, I just noticed, that I've been wrong with this one - It indeed does lower the AC if I'm clearing AV with a Inquisitor from a city.
Is my brain fooling me or why did I remember it wrong?
Has this been implemented in .25 or have I just never noticed it?
