[MOD] Fall from Heaven II

the Fall from Heaven creators got to produce a scenario for Civ IV's Beyond the Stars expansion
Is it just me, or is there something wrong here...?

Edit: or is that super-secret information being leaked to an unsuspecting public!?!?!?

("Setup cannot find an existing version of Fall from Heaven 0.41 . ..." error).
I tried running the patch file to from various folder within Civ 4 without success.

Same here, even reinstalled everything.
My path is D:\Games\Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods

No popup appears with the "choose install locaton".

Any help on this?

I had to 7-zip it.

How, when i use 7-zip it gives error #0 FfH2040z.exe is not s....

Are you trying to install FfH 0.41a or 0.40z? Anyway, 0.41a works for me. I select in in 7-zip window and go File -> Open from inside, then copy the contents in $_OUTDIR/Fall from Heaven 2.

Hi Lone Wolf,
thanks you for trying to help and sorry FfH 0.41a afcause.
But still no results. When I run the exe I see (half?) a picture and then I get the error message.
But it shouldn't be so difficult as to use other programs does it? So who else is having this issue and what did they do to run the exe?

Found a solution! Downloaded a newer version of 7-zip and could open the file and copy and paste like you said. Thanks.

Thanks for this! I couldn't install with the .41 installer or the .41a patch. (I'm using Windows 7, might be why?).

This worked for me though. Anyone else going to do this however, don't try and change the location when you pick copy to->, it only works if you keep it as it is. (at least that's how it was for me)

I just wondered: Is there some central place, where additional scenarios to FfH2 can be downloaded?

Wrong registry path, i.e. InstallLocation was wrong ('c:\games', the real path 'd:\games\'), .41a patch do not extract content to any folder.

I wonder if there would be a way to view Civilopedia with the graphics used by the currently played race? Or is this only a Sevopedia/some other pedia mod ability? For example, in Rise of Mankind, if you open Civilopedia with an African civilization, it displays all units with African unit graphic styles...

I wonder if it would be possible to toggle this feature on also in FfH2.

If I recall correctly, there was a file that must be deleted or something regarding Civilopedia... though it might have been an earlier version of Civilization series... :crazyeye:

I would be very grateful if someone could shed some light on this issue.

steam's auto-update patched me and now i can't play:(

i turned it off for the future though, but if you could get this working in 3.19 i would appreciate it.

I believe that the different art styles for different races are done via promotion, not civs. However, the need to do it by promotion is gone with 3.19 - Kael could simply create a "Civ4RaceInfos.xml" file that includes all the changes for a race and then give each civ a race in the XML (as the unit art style change via promotion code can now be used as unit art style change for whatever factor the modder wants).
