MOD REQ?!! low level animations! river tree's etc...

i'm barely running civ4 as my computer is now ...

AMD 1800 athlon
geforce 2 mx/mx 400
1 gb ram

so i startet thinking is it possible to turn of ALL!! animations that isn't needed....
river's
treee's
unit's moving..

...etc!

i think this could improve performence just a bit and actually i don't care what way my river animation flows as long as it doesn't make every turn take forever

In the opening screen, click on "Advanced" and select "Options" (I think that's how it goes). Quite a few options exist to minimize animations, including the ambient animations like resources. Also, select Turn Off Textures and select Single Unit Animations. Also, try "Medium" graphics or even "Low" graphics to get some general settings taken care of.

i'm already on low graphics and all in game options is on lowest but still i see river flow?!??
