Mod request: Land district accessable by boats to functions as channels

Remember placing city centers to connect lake and seas with a one-hex city center channel? Could you plz add a district where we can build a new land district accessible by boats? I want to recreate things like the Suez Channel in the Earth map without sacrificing city center positioning. Pretty please?
