Overclocking changes only clock speed. That does not mean it makes processor works as it is clocked.
Simmilar to Graphic cards. Overclocking their Core will not haste games that use lots of pixel shading. For instance, my x850xt at 520 has Oblivion running at Shaegorath shrine 18 fps (1280x1024, bloom, no V-sync, Max shadows, no Anizo, no Pixel shading, No plug-ins, no addonational textures, 1.1 patch). overclocked to 624 (max in Catalyst Control Center) increases fps by 1.
On Half-Life 2 such overdrive increases fps by 20... On higher GFX setting of course.
But i know dual clocks from Laptops only, so... They suck in Laptops... 3,2ghz Intel with G-force 7600 has problems with NFS: Most Wanted... cant be GFX card, as changing GFX settings doesnt change by more than 3 fps.
