Sorry if I add sth that was already discussed. I tried to read all posts but I'm sure I missed sth.
several notices:
1. great mod
2. workboat appeares with fishing. playing on the eur-asia continent I had no need to go for sailing so I explored half of the world with workboat. So I think there should be sth like movement limitation or cost rising with a distance from own country borders (especially for early units, land units as well) or maybe a certain risk of drowning if boat/ship is not visiting city/docks/shipyard for a couple of turns or maybe both
3. workboat can enter the shelf ice - i think some other land types as well (it was possible to drag movement on canary islands hills -need to check - for sure). I did not checked for other units.
4. can understand why writing is before alphabet
5. I played only on earth realism - game is huge so in early medieval times my computer slowed down dramaticly so I'm not sure if I will be experience all advantages of this mod - probably it is also the reason why units and shelf ice turn in dark/black (I think ot is sth with lack of memory - I experienced this also on late games, huge maps of original Worlords.
