[mod] TOTAL REALISM 2.0

Can someone check my report,

If you have

* Spiral Minaret
* State Religion - Zoroastrianism

Then you should be receiving income from Zoroastrian cities that have buildings... I wasn't noticing this...

Well, I've since moved on from Zoroastrianism because the top 3 civs started changing religions and became a religion free, socialist state...
 
I don't know if this is intended, but when i hire any mercernary new units always appear in the most east placed city(closest to right edge of minimap). I think it could be changed.
Anyway, great mod :goodjob:
 
Yes, i see its been changed. Just updated to latest patch. All is well in the kingdoms of christendom.

For every religion is a shrine wich can be build by a great prophet. A soon as you've build the shrine you'll get the money (+1 per city with youre religion in it). The spiral minaret is a wonder wich will give you other advantages.

This was how it worked in the original game and I don't believe they changed it in this MOD. Can't check it because I'm at work (getting payed to answer youre question :D ).

This is a feature in Mercenenaries Mod component. (Foreign) Mercs can be only hired in the borders of your civ, whats why they only appear in your border cities and never in the middle of your civ. :)

First off, good work knowing about DU(Depleted Uranium) ammunition and its use. Most people have no idea of the linkage to Gulf War Syndrome and its effects. I actually wrote a paper on it back in college so I cna back you up there.

My prob: Regarding the flags, is my ATI Radeon X800 considered a "medium old" vid card? Man, hard to keep up these days.

my specs: Pentium 4 3.4ghz, 1536MB RAM and the vid card above.

With my setup, sould I be experiencing slow load times? It seems that some people with lesser systems don't have the same lag time between turns, loading, etc.

Again, awesome work on this mod.
 
Houman and company,

The #1 wish I would have for this mod is someone with programing skill to develop a modification to enable naval bombardment of shore based units similiar to what was in Civ III. It is terrible for a battleship to sit off shore and not even be able to pee on a shore unit that is thumbing its nose at the ship. Likewise shorebased cannon/artillery should be able to shell coastal ships that are just off shore. Maybe for christmas santa could do this for us.....
 
Can someone PLEASE answer my question posted a couple of pages before?
I couldn't build any ICBMs, although I had uranium, silos and Manhatan project. Any ideas why?
 
Just begun a pangea game, plenty of civs, unfortunately three were so cramped that only two cities could be founded on the small peninsula. Asoka was cut off with no room. Who knows what Asoka is going to do. :lol:

Yeah, it'll be rough for JC, but India doesn't even have room to set his settler. He'll be stuck there until Rome and Egypt offer open boarders.

But he'll be dead long before that can happen.
 
I've searched the thread and I didn't seem to find much info about multiplayer except that it isn't supported. Is it being worked on? Is there any eta or on it? Is it even a goal? What are the problems with it right now that are causing the 'out of sync' that I get when I try it? I would really appreciate any info about this topic. Maybe I can look at the code and help debug if I knew where to start.

Anyways, good luck with the project and continue with the innovations.
 
man this mod is great and it continues to become so... good job at being so fast and smooth that entertains me everytime i play this and freakin Fall from Heave 2. keep up the good job, as you are one of my top 3 in my list.

the 2.0 ver of this mod , is MUCH better than it predessesors IMHO

I am still struggling to work out how to get though the very long
early game ,but since I did actually read the read me before I started a game :) I know that the changes made were exactly what you intended ,and are clearly more "realistic"
here are a couple of screen shots of python exception screensfor possible trouble shooting .Neither caused the game to crash went away with a click, but they did appear

the one on the left is now appearing each time i start a saved game
the one on the right came i think because a barb city produced a great person:confused: st petersburg is controled by barbs in this game
 
When I founded Taoism in my country, I couldn't make the Taoist shrine with a Great Prophet in my Holy City. Is this a bug?

Also, how do you use the leader assasination? This happened to me, but I can't do it to others.
 
Just a follow up on the game. Rome is still boxed in and has not waged a war agains Hatshepsut to break free. That would be suicidal anyway because she has expanded down and acquired horses. Asoka was pushed out on to the nearest land mass but that proved to be a blessing, two gold resources no one had claimed. So he is very far behind but with the potential to go forward. My empire is large and impressive with armies of mercenaries. Waiting till its my musketeer horde vs the world.

Multiplayer? Id like that too.
 
@Italicus Yes, we are aware of lack of units for Rome. No one is making any because everyone is assuming there are plenty of them in vanilla game.
I have seen a WW1 Fiat Tank though. ;) At least something for next release...

@Therapist, I have a ATi Radeon 9600 and it works fine. I have no idea which one is newer. :) But I will fix them for next release. Just do me a favor and have a look on the Persian Flag, if looks ok for you or not. It is supposed to be a white flag with a golden eagle on it. This flag has been changed in 2.0.1 a bit and now I am wondering if I need to re-modify it once I have rolled back the flags from 2.0.0.

@jeffdawgfan We will be implementing few more Mod components our there, that would allow bombardments. :)

@Propunk even after installing 2.0.2 you were not able to build the nukes? What is it asking for? (Type of pre-req building or so?)

@Narcio we don;t know why, but the multiplayer gets Syncout. We need more man power in this part to fix this. If you have knowledge in modding and multiplayer, you are welcome to join us. :D

Thanks for the screenies. Some problem with namegenerator. I suppose you have the 2.0.2 installed since there was a bug in 2.0.1. Hiopefully Mexico can kill this Python bugs. ;)

@Ronin228, after 2.0.2 you should be able to build the Taoist Shrine. Are you sure you have the patch and it doesnt work? Can someone else confirm this please after having started a game with 2.0.2 patch?

The Persians are already vanquished in my game, but I believe I could see their flag in my last game. Problem countries are:

France(Yellow)
Germany(Black)
Greek(White)

There might be more, haven't seen all countries.

Any ideas on why the mod has such long load times with my rig the way it is?

Great mod, this kept me up most of last night, which didn't help as I had a job interview this morning and nearly dozed off :goodjob:
