Name of the mod: Modern World 3 (include Medieval mod)

About mode:
It is the global mod for Warlords.
In the beginning, this mod was about modern times, but after first version of the mod, it became global. The Mod covers the times: Medieval, First World War, Second World War, Modern world. Each of described above times, has their own technologies and units.


Theare are added:

- 4 technologies

- a types of the rules (NATO, EUROALLIANCE – was deleted)

- new units (Read the file “Mod_units” in mod folder)

- new religions: Catholicism, Orthodoxy (Fascism, Communism – was deleted)

- a leaders: Yuschenko (Ukraine), Lukashenko (Belarus), Putin (Russia) and others

- a 3 scenarios

- all nations are replaced on modern, with modern flags

Installation:

- Extract the zip file into <C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Mods>
- Delete the cache file from C:\Documents and Settings\COMPUTER_USER_NAME\Application Data\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\cache
- Run the game from ADVANCED > LOAD A MOD > Modern World 3
- Overwriting existing game files does not delete or corrupt original files.

MOD is really awesome! but some icons are kind of weird on the civics screen, hapiness is displayed as an iron and state religion as a stone ...
 
I like how you kept the interface graphics simple so I can use both machines vid cards without having to try and modify the interface back to simple. I like the Map and I am about to start my multiplayer journey and havent gone far enough to detect bugs yet. I also like the what you did with the leaderheads, great job. And you provided a 32player 4000bc world start pos map and I was happy about that also.

The last scenario that I was worked is "Medieval 13 century with 19 civs"... Now, in this scenario:
- Battle for Kalka River
- Crusade of Fridrih 2nd
...

In future it will be more units, civs, scenarious, SDK and others...

The main thing for the mod is quality and I will be work on it!!!;)

I was really enjoying the mod at 1440 BC when I spotted a barbarian AT&T Star Wars Mechha destroying everything lol. So I was wondering how it got that. It massacared the East coast of Asia and it was a good thing I was in Japan.

I noticed on the MW start Pos scenerio Austrailia has a second start position in Northern Asia.

I had to work around a runtime error in multiplayer when loading a saved game. As soon as they joined the lobby it would runtime crash (but worked fine to start the game). Workaround- I had to load the game past the lobby into the map then have the players rejoin a saved game. Then it worked fine.

On the start pos map I learned that it needs 20 active civs and the rest set to not playable. Once I knew this I was able to play any country as long as it was only 20 set to playable.



(EDIT)_I checked the map and I cant find any barbarians deployed so it must be something they get in BC for some reason....Ill just ply no barbarians until a fix is found. No big deal

Anyone who plays on the wrong maps would enconter a runtime error also.

I really enjoy this mod and look forward to playing more. .Once again thankyout for this Mod.
 
Is this mod intented to be played also with random maps ?? i could do little against a barbarian Star Wars ASMS of power 52 on a medieval ages random map ...

LMAO :D I know the feeling.

I have never tried a random map, I had always thought that +18 civ mods needed the right maps to match. I would like to try a random map, that would be cool if it worked.

I hope we get star wars stuff for future also. I would love to walk thorugh cities with those things during the end of days and have a Terminator style battle at the end lol :cool:

WW1 & 2 sounds good also. I use to play the board game Axis and Aliies a lot and something kind of like that setup for a WW2 start would be cool.


I am starting a multi game today with no barbarians for now. I'll let you know how it goes.

This age will be in future version of the mod, but it is a hard work... Techs for future age are 50% ready, but I need some units, buildings and others...

My game keeps getting an runtime error

what am i doing wrong?

I am not sure but Question 1 - what kind of map are you using?




As for the multiplayer game (on the Mods Earth stat pos map 4000 bc) I am in I am in AD and no troubles so far with the Barbs off (for now).
 
I am encountering some out of synch errors in multi player around 1100 AD. I think it is associated with the pop up trade and communication screen. It seems to occur only when some leaders pop up to talk at the start of a turn I am may try later to figure out if it is a certain civ that I met in AD. :scan:
 
thx for info... Now I dont have much free time (...exams...)... May be on Friday I will finish the patch for this mod...:)
