You will want that speed when we add the Genetic Era techs

Tp be honest I'd much prefer having the techs appear in the right time frame (assuming an average game on endurance) than having to rush them due to genetic era (which to be honest I've never been desperate for anyway).

Actually we will balance ViSa on a Standard Map, 7 Civs, Noble, Normal Speed.

I used the low graphic setting that you told me and now the turn waiting, is in a normal range of 20 50 sec,even in late eras.

take a look at my anims please for our 1939 mod in our website just wait some secs and then dont click skip, and you could click to see some anims, i did for the mod.
i will like to know your impressions about them :)

i fell the same, the tech tree is running too fast, but only after medieval era at my advice.

On the tech speed...this feedback is very important from all you folks...because of all the work we do it is rare for any of us to get to late game in ViSa.

We have a number of buildings that need balanced for war and tech...and tech themselves need adjusted.

I just worked on balance up to Gunpowder and not even sure that is fully set yet :)

someone on the visa team should check the attitude modifier for Hiram , when we first met I had an immediate -9 :eek:
for being a different religion but that neg was a -3 with every one else :confused:
this is a large islands game ,the entire game he has been furious with everyone he met and they have all been furious with him ,no open borders no trade just hate both ways (see screen)
anyone else seen this ?
ever tokogawa isn't this isolationist and hated !!

i use xsi and maya , are pro software, ( i work in movie biz and i make anims mostly for special FX) i am happy that you like them, i love to make anims for new wonders for mods, because i love a lot civ. i play it from civ1, feel free to ask for your mods :)

i play mods at high diff levels, so when i can, i like to use custom scenario, so i could set: no tech exchange allowed, because the game is more balanced at my advice, but when i test a new mod for me like with visa, i use mod presets to understand balance of powers of modders.
Visa is stable and with the right graphic sets is smooth, i love the new civics and the new wonders, i pay a high price every time i restart the game because i am not used to the tech tree of the mod.
I Like to discover Christianity and have free religion and free speech, i am mostly a sailor, but i choose german to have power in ground, but i go messed a lot with the new tech tree and civics of visa.
i am used to be first in tech in my games but with visa is really difficult because tech trade makes it hard, and so many new wonders and civics makes it more hard.
Lets assume i go for optics, to dominate sea before others and discover new world, if others civs exchange techs too much i couldn't stop them and i must to exchange techs to stay on the same levels of others.Without tech exchange we will have a more real world because the tech will depends from resources and position at start up.
In my games with visa mod presets. we discover gunpower about 1100 and flight in 15 century. I saw their first ss casing in 1500 that was a bad moment for me and i restarted the game.
Is a lot difficult to fine tune a mod with normal speed, but i think that stopping the tech exchange could help a lot.
Anyway i restarted the game again, so i couldn't talk
about late eras. i will talk about when i will win my first visa mod :)
any1 has done a walktrough in visa tech and wonders? it could help a lot to choose a better right path.

Wait, whit the Genetic Era we should not play whit the 1200 tunrs speed? **** that was my favorite game, i love to do extremely long game?

Why not just making even more turns as we will have more years to play?

"Version 2.10 that fixes the 3 City Radius CTD issue anticipated to be released on Friday, November 11th"


Apparently you Europeans are using a different calendar, mine says Friday is the 10th and is today! ;)

BTW, will the Bug Report EVER be fixed, or should we start posting the little errors here? Like, the splash screen that announces Tech Leaks along trade routes has an 'Ok' button instead of an 'OK' button....

Aren't typos fun ;) And I am surely not a European.....

The web host needs to fix the database on the Issue Tracker....we could wipe the whole thing out and start over, but that means losing EVERYTHING...so we wait on the web host, sorry.

Well ViSa can certainly be played on any difficulty level and at any game speed, but my personal thoughts are to balance at all the 'default' settings and then let the players comment on any other problems. Balancing tech speed AFTER the normal speed is done is quite easy with the GameSpeedInfo.XML :)

The Genetic Era includes extending the game length...so it will be in ViSa then.
