Originally posted by Chieftess I saw that post too, and I've heard of Zouve, but never seen any of his previous posts. I guess when mods edit posts, and users don't browse certain forums, a ban like that might look a little odd...
I started out at this site posting in the Civ3 forums, and I very quickly learned to despise his ability to sidetrack every thread with his pet rants. He might have some good ideas, but the signal to noise ratio was so bad that any good ideas he did have were drowned in the static. After I stopped playing Civ3 I might have continued to post in those forums, but, frankly, he drove me out.
I have no firsthand knowledge of the circumstances surrounding this ban, but I know Zouave well enough to believe the Gonzo's explanation.
I don't know Zouave , and I rarely read Civ 3 threads, but if a Mod warned Zouave of something (and it sounds like mods did, over a long period of time), then the poster should comply, like it or not. Zouave should find alternative things to post, as BBSs (including CFC) must consider all factors, not just one person's view.
Maybe Zouave will watch Star Trek for a month, and pick up things like:
"The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few... or the one."
I thought he was King of Flamers and that's why he has this title. But not at this site kids - that's against the rules!
(No burger mentions with regard to the above please, and any discussions of Lefty's whopper should be directed to Genghis as it's his department really).
Zouave had an enormous chip on his shoulder about Civ 3 to the extent I suspect he was either sacked from Firaxis or went without food for a month to buy the game and was then disappointed. If neither of these then he should just lighten up and try some other games to while away his time. Maybe go back to playing Civ 2!
It look like zouave is an old member( i maybe wrong) I think he was a member well before civ3.
So does he begin to behave borderline just after civ 3 come out ?
Maybe he was so disapointed that his personality change. He had several good point about civ 3 deficiency compare to civ 2.
