But first I must ask you to clarify :) What do you mean with border shrinking? That cities have no cultural control over the surrounding territory at all while they're in unrest, or that you have to start from the first ring after you've taken control of it?

(Changing either of these rules would require to edit the DLL, so be prepared to set up a C++ compiler if you want to do this.)
 
Here's the whole file. I think there might be something weird with the indentation and WinMerge, and tabifying it didn't fix it.

Yeah, definitely an indentation problem. It's immediately visible to me in Notepad++, in multiple lines in this method.
 
I don't know how that happened. I think something happened with WinMerge. Some of the files go crazy with the indentation.

Now, the program just crashes when I try to start a scenario.

No idea without knowing what you changed. I recommend disabling your changes step by step to identify what was responsible.

(This is why you should start the game as often as possible between changes.)
 
I mean after I take a city, the culture of that city dosen't become zero and remain the same as it is before the capture. ( since in civ4 culture means border)
just like Civ 5, after you take a city, the border of the city remains the same.

No, because the extent of the borders depends on your culture in that city. So if say Spain covers an Aztec city that has the third ring, they cannot have the third ring themselves because there is no Spanish culture in the city yet.
 
Well, you could convert the original owner's culture to that of the new oner's. But I'm unsure if that can be done in Python. Probably, but I wouldn't know how.

The civ-specific ones? CvRhyes.cpp, don't forget to recompile.
 
How can I edit world map in DoC? For example, I open D:\Games\Civilization\Beyond the Sword\Mods\RFC Dawn of Civilization\PublicMaps\RFC 3000 BC.CivBeyondSwordWBSave, edit it and save. I change just placement of resources and some terrain. When I start a 3000BC game, I don't see the names of civilizations, but generic names (Han people, Mycenian people etc). Will game work normally (I tried it for several turns and everything was working), but will be there some problems later?
 
If the names don't change, the Python scripts are probably not working. Do you have Python exceptions enabled? The scenario files are also read by Python, so if you made a mistake when changing the map, it's already enough to cause Python to fail.

I remembered that too late... I don't know what I done, I thought that I just moved few resources here and there, and change most of Siberia to tundra...

Anyway, I did everything again and is working, names are ok. So I did make some mistake, but I dont know were...
Now only when I select civs I see generic names (han people instead chinese empire), but in game everything works well, it seems. Why are names on civ selection screen changed?:confused:

I did, and Python exceptions are on. Everything is working, I'm currently entering new era with Egypt, so far everything was fine (civs spawns correctly, greeks invaded me, now romans etc...). No python exceptions, no errors so far. It is just that on civ select screen, when you pick a civ, instead of, for example, Egyptian emprie, it says peoples of the nile. I am just asking is it sign of bigger problem I didn't encoutered yet, or is harmless?
 
Yes, because you edited the scenario with world builder and saved everything in the state it was when you started the game.

Either edit it and save it in a separate file, then only copy over the plotinfo stuff into the scenario, or use Notepad++ to make your changes.
