I'd like a little more engagement than none. You made this thread ostensibly to answer questions on modding, so I think that obliges you to show up and not thumb your nose at people who take an interest. If you don't know, than just give me a bit of information as to why you don't know. What are those lines of code and what functions do they usually perform? I noticed before it crashed that Ethiopia had a score of 10,000, which definitely isn't right.

I've gone over every single log, including PythonDbg. The scary thing is that all of them are identical- all of them have the same BUG errors.

That's weird, did you do anything with BUG mod? I can't think of any change to the mod itself that would cause such an error.
 
Nope. I could try and run WinMerge again just to check.
 
I don't remember what I initially had to do to include BUG. You can try renaming your mod to DoC again, maybe it's the mod name setting.
 
No, the same screen comes up if I rename it. I don't think that is the problem now. That means that either there is something in DoC that prevents the mod from flipping out on BUG, there is a C++ error, or there is a Python or XML error that is evading the Log.
 
Since something comes up in the interface message log at least, I would rule out XML and C++ completely. It's likely that BUG is somehow not configured correctly, or that Python chanegs have been made BUG is not expecting.

Do you know how to fix that, or should I ask somebody on the BUG forums?

Also, is there any way to set WinMerge to ignore indentation/spacing? There are a few files where our indentations are vastly different (in Python they are identical, oddly enough) and WinMerge flips out because of it, making it very hard for me to find the actual differences.
 
Yeah, the differences in whitespaces are also the bane of my existence whenever I have to merge a large number of files. As long as it's not Python code, they're meaningless though. So you can always copy from one side so at least the conflict is resolved.

I have no clue what this error means. Maybe the people in the BUG forum know more but I don't know if the developers are still active there.
 
No idea, if DoC doesn't have one, why should you suddenly need it?

Maybe it's a good idea to separately install BUG itself in case it needs to install something into your My Games directory.
