You have once more made a post withouth much information regarding the game. Congratulations on your win, but people feel more enticed to comment and offer advice if you make more informative posts.
We lovez pretty pictures!
Sorry about that! I never really thought much about it
I'll provide a quick overview of my usual game compared to this new one.
On any given game I'm most likely running some sort of specialist heavy economy, with the typical philosophical leader (simply putting cottages everywhere makes me feel dirty

). This makes me focus on getting as many specialist-helpful wonders as early as possible (obviously the pyramids, the parthenon if i can manage it, the GL, Sistine Chapel, ect), severely hindering my early game expanding potential. I also tend to neglect my military until i actually want to go to war, not a very good tactic, i know. I also don't war very much, usually attacking one or maybe two civs during a game in order to get enough cities to compete with the growing cottage-spammed AI cities. I have long neglected the use of certain civics such as nationhood and mercantilism, which i am now particularly fond of. I would usually run state property unless i desperately needed a corporation, and would put workshops pretty much everywhere possible.
The game i played as Suleiman, i tried to focus less on wonder-building and more on war, although not quite enough to achieve a domination victory. My main strength in the game was my unusually (at least for me) well planned city specialization (i'll add some screens in a bit) and really using the specialists to their fullest potential (mercantilism + statue of liberty). By the end of the game i had two corporations all throughout my empire with enough extra gold to run high sliders. This ultimately allowed me to keep up with the fastest teching AI, Mansa Musa.
I attempted to re-create this strategy with Gandhi, but to no avail. The monarch AI simply expand too quickly for my current managing abilities. Instead, i decided to focus heavily on military conquest as early as possible, and expand as much as possible without tanking my economy. Very early in the game i rushed Saladin with the Celt's uu. It took two attempts to reduce him to one last city, which i eventually captured. At this point my science was at 60 or so percent. After a bit of catching up on maintenance and domestic problems, i turned to attack Willem van Oranje. This was slightly more difficult as he was well prepared in comparison to early Saladin, but i eventually took him out and befriended Roosevelt, who was his vassal at the time. This is when my sliders were down pretty far, in the 30-40 percent range. By the time my economy got back on it's feet, however, i believe the game was pretty much in the bag. None of the AI had enough technological power to stand up to me, and the only AI on par with me strictly in power was Alexander, who could not have attacked me as I had a very powerful navy of ironclads defending my cities. The only thing left to do was to achieve victory. I don't generally like space race and It was too late in the game to pull off a culture victory. Also, i had a very high population (45% of the world) in my civilization alone, + my friend Roosevelt and my vassal Frederick. In order to cement my hold on a diplomatic victory i warred japan to get their largest cities, and also returned a few of Frederick's old ones to him. This allowed me to ultimately vassal Tokugawa and get enough votes for a Diplo victory.
I hope this was enough info haha
In any case, i'll post some screens of the end games (but i doubt i'll get 30

)
EDIT: For the sake of clarity, i'll add the Suleiman screens onto this post, and the Boudica screens on a separate post.
