More Civilisations

Any chance of the Mississippians, Shawnee (with Tecumseh!), and/or Choctaw? LastSword did a Cherokee civ, so they're covered :)

Pretty hesitant to add even more Civs to the list at this stage, especially with the artists having less time, but rest assured Reedstilt is making every attempt possible to convince us to do one of those. Cahokia was also one of Project Civ's lineup, which More Civs inherited when Irkalla left, so we may get to it eventually

We're fighting over more territory, since JFD has conquered most of Europe - still have a few fronts open in Iberia and the Balkans though.

Someone should really write a massive story about the clashing of our great empires.

I feel like the Civ 5 community needs more artists. And lua experts.

No worries, I'll be happy with any Civs you guys produce :)

Ironically, someone had that figured out a long time ago... he even opened a thread...
Hint: :p

And fantasy mods! Look at Éa, Faerun, Warhammer, whatever it is PawelS is doing, the new German mod SplitterCiv, etc...
We're all going to take over someday.

Also, 2,000th post for More Civilizations!

The fictional civs are just going to wait until both of you are worn out and exhausted before making our move... :P

Oh but I aim for every 5000th post, so this was not a loss for me

I just completed the second of two very fun games with Hawaii on the south pacific map from JFD's YnAEMP patch. Since the spilt was released I've tried on the other three civs, but saved Kamehameha for last.
I Played with all civs from the Polynesia split together with LastSword's Tahiti, no city-states (the ones added in the first version of JFD's YnAEMP patch seems to have vanished in the latest update?) and with Leugi's new barbarian immersion mod (plus a small bunch of minor mods, that doesn't mess with balance too much).

In the first game I also had E&D and CulDiv activated. Played on king level and won a science victory long before the other civs had even reached the atomic era. It seemed that if I wanted to, I could easily have won a culture victory instead since I had a massive tourism output very early in the game.

A few days later I decided to try again on Emperor level, this time without E&D and CulDiv. It was very similar to the first game I played, though still very fun.
Had a good alliance with Tonga going on most of the game until they were completely destroyed by the Maori. Had a few wars with Rapa Nui over a couple of resource rich islands, but otherwise the game was fairly peaceful (even though I did pay the Maori to declare war on Tahiti. Several times. Just for the fun of it. And because I had a lot of money :D)
This time I went for a culture victory and won without too much of a hassle.

A few notes on balance. The UA is great. You're generating so many GPs it becomes hard to find places to build all those Great Tile Improvements. This is of course also because I played on the south pacific map, where land tiles are sparse and because I didn't found too many cities. I just wonder if maybe the doubling of specialists' base yield is too much or that you generate to many GPP from combat. Around my capital I had three manufactories and two academies, and around my 2nd largest city I had another academy and two custom houses. Because of all the production I also managed to grab almost all of the great wonders. It seemed a little crazy

As mentioned I played on a YnAEMP map from JFD's new patch. I know that when playing on the standard YnAEMP maps, all four civs may embark or cross oceans immediately, and I, as Hawaii, could do so. But I didn't notice whether or not the other civs (besides Tonga's UU) could do this. If they couldn't, then of course that's the reason I did so well in both my games.
Because usually when I play on emperor level I only win about 2/3 of my games and not easily mind you [emoji14]

I will try another game with them soon on a random map and see if I get the same results.

As a final note, the Polynesia spilt is probably one of my favourite civ 5 mods of all time. Beautiful artwork, great designs and just overall awesome. Hats off to everyone involved in the project.

You have to use kilwa... they made my win the gamme without warmongering..
(Well, i conquered madrid,but... thats it. :p)

The Chinook are here!

The Chinook are a Native American culture centred around the Columbia River. They were famous as traders, with connections stretching as far as the Great Plains. The Columbia was a major indigenous thoroughfare, and the Chinooks' location facilitated contact with northern and southern coastal peoples as well as with interior groups. The river was a rich source of salmon, the basis of the regional economy, and many groups traded with the Chinook for dried fish.
