A few ideas I have:

"Palace of the High-priest" for Theocracy. Don't worry, I won't introduce a building with a name that long but I cannot come up with anything better yet. Ideas?
  • government center
  • -50% :gold:
  • +3 :)
  • +100% War
  • -5 local rev instability
It would be a sort of Summer Palace, but rather as a rival capital with pros and cons. You give some part of your land over the clergy to take care of. I'm not sure about the -50% :gold: though. It may be too high.

"Clergy Palace" would be a good name for it. The -50% gold is too punishing, however; remove it and the stability modifier and it's golden. The happiness bonus and war weariness penalty are enough.

Unity Hub for Hive:
  • +0.2 :) per citizens
May need a better name.

Hive already cuts off 33% of pop unhappiness; with it, 53% of pop unhappiness would just poof. Try thinking of something else? For name, "Sync Beacon" would be better.

Palace Granary for Palace Economy:
  • requires Palace (technically a National Wonder but not counts toward the limit)
  • an upgrade of Granary (stores a little more :food: and gains bonus from more resources)
May need a better name.

"Royal Food Storage" could be used as a name. Everything else is fine.

Gymnopaedia for Warrior Caste:
  • city needs 10% less :food: to grow
  • +1 :)
  • +1:culture:

I like it. Could mitigate the food penalty warrior caste inflicts, and it'd help with city size and culture too.

Castle Keep is already in the game. I'm thinking about removing the 1Keep/3Castles limit but liming it to Vassalage only.

Now that would make Vassalage OP. If you plan to make it unrestricted, but vassalage-exclusive, you need to tweak its effects. Otherwise, razing cities would simply be the better option.

Commercial Agency for Mainstream Media and Media Regulation:
  • +5% :gold:
  • +5% :gold: with Mainstream Media
  • +1:mad: Mainstream Media

Why not add a free celebrity too?

Government Office for Centralization:
  • +10% maintenance
  • +0.1 :) per citizen

Bit on the simple side, I have to say. I say think of something else, like unity hub.

"Clergy Palace" would be a good name for it.
Ahh... Try googling for that phrase :(
Others I'm considering are:
"Sacred Palace" but that sounds too artificial for me
"Bishopric" but that's to "christian-ish" and rather medieval, not ancient/classical
Realism Invictus has something but I don't recall it...

EDIT: Maybe Pontifex Maximus?

The -50% gold is too punishing, however; remove it and the stability modifier and it's golden. The happiness bonus and war weariness penalty are enough.
Okay, I'm leaning to it.
Hive already cuts off 33% of pop unhappiness; with it, 53% of pop unhappiness would just poof. Try thinking of something else? For name, "Sync Beacon" would be better.
And what does it do?
"Royal Food Storage" could be used as a name. Everything else is fine.
Too long :P

I'm not sure I agree but will leave it as it is. Other idea?

Yeah! Why not? :)

It would be a help for the smaller civs. Larger civs cannot afford extra maintenance but smaller ones usually have access to less sources of happiness (resources, wonders). It may be simple but useful IMO.

The Pontifex Maximus was the Roman high priest and later co-opted into Imperial titles and then for the Popes. It's a person, not a place. :)

I know ;) :(

So here's what I came up with:

Prelacy for Theocracy
How does that sound? Other options are: Sacerdotal Palace (as in RI) or Temple Palace.
  • government center
  • +3 :)
  • +100% War
  • employs 1 citizen

Grange for Palace Economy:
same as a Grain Silo but earlier, bit cheaper and requires Palace.

Now about Hive:

Unity Link:
+25% espionage defense

Global Awareness:
National Wonder
No anarchy and minimal wait between civic and religion change (same affect as Christo Redendor)
Free Unity link in every city

You could also try Lateran Palace after the famous Papal palace in Rome.

I like that for it isn't so closely related to Christendom as it had pre-papal use too.
THX :)

Then I think Holy See should be better

The problem with that one is that the Holy See is a political entity, not simply a building or patch of land. (I probably don't need to tell an Italian that, but still. :p)

Anyway... I want something that fits with an Ancient/Classical civic when you couple it with Prophets or Divine Cult.

Since Lateran primarily refers to a group of buildings owned by an old Roman family, that should probably fit.

True, but it can be used to point at the area/buildings where that power is located. More or less like when we talk about the White House or Buckingham Palace. In Italian it's "Santa Sede", I wasn't sure about English but from Merriam Webster I read about "see": the area in which a bishop has authority, which is kind of vague but could be a building too. :)

Can I just say that your 'More Music' mod is a thing of beauty, and I just couldn't imagine playing without it anymore. Fantastic choice of songs, especially for medieval era.

THX. Happy you enjoy it :)

I think I will rather stay with Prelacy. That sound more general for me. I can imagine Lateran Palace as WW on the other hand: It could boost your production for Apostolic Palace (like Sphinx for the Pyramids) and give some state-religion bonus.

Prelacy is still not a building: it's a "thing".

That's not my priority :p
(sorry for the cheap joke)

That is not necessarily a problem (though I'd like to avoid it if possible).
We have a lot of buildings that are not buildings:
Myths of ...; Sun Tzu's Art of War; Labour Union (or Labor Union:crazyeye:?); etc...
Prelacy IMO well represents that this city becomes a religious center.
Think of it as giving that city a title that involves some building works too - building a palace for the high-priest.

Is there some fancy Italian word descended from sacerdotal (relating to priests)? In English, we have sacred, consecrate, desecrate and so on. The best I could do is sacrarium, but that appears to be a specific part of a church where ritual materials are stored.
