Speaking of Googie architecture, how about Las Vegas/Macau?
On the one hand, it feels campy, but I think it might be just the right kind of campy. It would probably look better than Broadway, actually, which just looks like a second city-center.

EDIT: Oh, wow, I'd never scene the Grand Lisboa before. I suddenly need it in my game. Badly.

You earlier said you like art-deco architecture. How about this underdog for an airport wonder? Also since Canada (though this airport was built by Americans before Newfoundland was part of Canada) has neither a natural or world wonder yet in CIvV....
If there's not a a part in the quote where Sean Bean says "take a gander at this" then what's the point?

No, no, we must re-use that delightful Ginger Rogers about oh my, what fun we've lost. :mischief:

I would like to see the Statue of Zeus return. Also a Gothic Cathedral. For natural wonders, Mt. Fuji is one I can think off the top of my head. I need to look through my old World Wonders/Natural Wonders wishlists to find ones I would really like to see.

Here's a wildcard suggestion for a wonder: The Globe Arena. It's the world's largest hemispherical building (at the time of writing, at least), and represents the sun in the world's largest scale model of the solar system

Seeing how it mainly functions as a hockey and concert arena, on top of its astronomical theme, I think it's bonus in as a wonder in Civ6 would have something to do with entertainment complex buildings and spaceport projects

Oh the irony when you could possibly build a hockey rink in the game and not be Canada. :crazyeye:

The Statue of Zeus, Leaning Tower, and Notre Dame are the three wonders I'll be disappointed to see miss the cut.

I know the historical importance of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, but I always found it funny to glorify a building because the architect didn't knew how to verify is the soil was good enough for a campanile.

It's just the right balance between complete incompetence and sheer luck: more luck and it would not lean, more incompetence and it would have been yet another destroyed building.

I thought about the Gateway Arch but the only ability I could think of would be purchasing tiles cheaper since it's the "Gateway to the American West" but I don't think that's needed for a wonder so late.
Mt. Rushmore I think would be perfect with Theodore Roosevelt in the game finally. It should be required to be built on a mountain in a national park and give the national park more appeal/tourism when completed.

While I know this would never happen, I'd love the Gateway Arch to be exclusive to Terra Maps. It'd be extremely cheap to build, but could only be placed on continents in the New World. But it'd make Settlers in that city cheaper to build/buy, not cost a population point, and grant them additional movement and the same bonuses for visibility and movement over difficult terrain that promoted scouts get.

One of the things that restricts my growth a bit in the modern era is my reluctance to build coal power stations (as they are too polluting) but i never seem to have much oil.

So my suggestion is Battersea Power Station

All coal power stations produce reduced emissions (maybe same as an oil power station would). Tourism from coal power stations after researching Environmentalism. +1 power from coal power stations.

Must be built in an industrial zone adjacent to a river. Cannot be decommissioned or replaced with another type of power plant (but coal power plants in other cities can be)

Leaning tower, Statue of zeus, one more hindu temple because I like the stone.

I want to see more natural wonders in the pass. I went back and painstakingly counted all of the wonders and it seems like we have around 50 man made wonders compared to 20-25 natural wonders. Also, I always feel like 5 natural wonders for a standard map is weak.

here's a suggestion for a new diplomatic policy card (can't see a thread for it)

Ping Pong Diplomacy - cancels out negative relationship points caused by having a different government. Cannot use the ideological war casus belli, or have an ideological war declared on you.

It would be perfect for a Dark Age policy card.

Statue of Zeus should definitely be in the game. It's one of the ancient wonders after all. But it shouldn't be a military wonder as it always has been. As Zeus was a weather god maybe the temple could be something like the Great Bathhouse: all this city tiles protected from naturaldisasters, plus faith and amenities. Or, as Zeus was also a God of law, maybe gain something like extra amenities from each policy card in slot. Just some thoughts. It's just the Temple of Zeus as a military wonder doesn't make sense.

Oh and I would love to see the classic wonders back, like Sixtine, Notre Dame, Borobudur and Hoover

If he was the god of law, maybe he should grant the player the ability to change their policy cards and government type for free and also does not cause Anarchy?
But yes! I would love it for it to be another wonder that protects the city from natural disasters! or even, "this Civilization are not effected by Tornados" in all of it's cities. (because Tornados simply are the worst in my opinion).

As said before, the Sistine Chapel as a wonder is underwhelming. We already have the Sistine Chapel ceiling as a Great Wort of Art, and the Chapel is reknown only for her ceiling. Outside that, it's just a small building. St Peter's Basilica would make more sense if we go this route.
