Post your most hated Civ III leader here. This thread is not really for complaining about which leader beat the starch out of you and your empire, but which leader you consider the whiniest, cheapest, nastiest, ect.

Mine would be the American leader Abraham Lincoln, as he is grabby, penny pinching, and greedy. In most of the games I played with him, he would demand gold and tech from me, although I was ten times more powerful than him. If I refused, he'd declare war on me, and I'd have to beat the heck out of him. He'd do this again and again, until I decided to finally take out every last city and unit he had on the map.

Also, he'd send his galleys half the globe, just to get a settler on to the last piece of unclaimed territory in the world, a 1x1 square landlocked and blockaded by 5 different Civs.

I think it's a toss-up between Xerxes, Shaka, and Montezuma (?) of the Aztecs. But I may find them annoying more on account of the immortals, impi, and jaguar warriors, than because of their attitude.

for me its often william and elizabeth.
William because he's just too cocky and better than me.
Elizabeth because she tags along with the stronger civs, and then randomly passes them all in technology whiCH makes me mad.
another one is Gilgamesh. His empires are always too big, and he won't quit being better than everyone

Gandhi the backstabber, he'll wait until all your troops are away and send an elephant to an undefended city and attack.

Whoever that Hittite guy is - that's the one. I just see that blue colour and my blood pressure rises by 15 points.

Yes, he makes peace with people...
Even if it means war with another civ that is 10x more powerful. Yeah Gandhi, your peace with me requires war with a 1-city civ in Madagascar. However, you make peace with them, declaring war on me . Oh wait, your pitifully undefended capital has three world wonders. Thank you Gandhi!

Isabella can be nasty at times with sneak attacks

China made me mad when they stole my iron so I take that out on Mao. Apart from that I'm not too bad with any one else atm :)

...does "ALL of them" count? ~

I think so.:) I find none of them can be trusted, all will attack you even if they say they're polite or gracious. Probably the worst are the warlike AI's, such as Shaka and Genghis.

That's one of the nice things about Civ III, it's wild and unpredictable. You never know where the next attack is coming from.

It's whomever is in my territory giving me stress atm. They can all be buggers, so it's hard to chose just one. :D

agreed! why I love this game so durn much...and all the yummy mods to spice things up makes it STILL amazingly enjoyable for me and I honestly don't see getting rid of it any time soon. :)~

Definitely William and the Inca one (never been able to spell his name).

Well... :trouble::trouble::trouble:

Shaka and his terrible Zulu peoples.

Always one of the first to declare war on me at the worst of times!

I agree. Shaka is a warmonger who chooses his times well. His UU makes him difficult to contend with early. With expansive he's pretty fast off the starting block making him very dangerous early. If he doesn't have good war success, he's not a factor later, but the early game is where the danger is.

Ghandi. :aargh: Peace treaty? What peace treaty? :nuke:
