Most ignorant(and funny) statements you have ever heard

If you go by countries that are only partially in Europe... well Turkey is much bigger than France too! And bigger than Ukraine.
Not looking at my map it isn't.

@TBR: That's not ignorant, that's hilariously awesome.

It isn't much bigger, but it is more than 100,000 km^2 bigger (16% bigger).
And has an even greater size advantage over Ukraine.

when considering these sizes, I really dont see how yiou can count parts that clearly arent in Europe, i.e. you cant count Asian Turkey, Siberia or French foreign departments. In any case, this guy was just suffering form the common delusion that Russia, ukraine, etc etc are not European countries

Then he used the wrong adjective, and location.

He shouldn't have said "France is the largest country in Europe".

But "France is the greatest country in the World".

Or possibly "France is the grandest country on Earth".

Obama is America's first black president. But since he's mixed race, if he were elected in Africa, would he be Africa's first white president?

Probably not, since Arabs are often considered white and they make up the majority in northern Africa.

On that note (and also not ignorant) I recall a story where someone asked the president of Haiti (I don't know which one) what percentage of the population of Haiti was white, and he told them, "98%". They thought he misunderstood so they asked again. He asked, in the US, if someone is mostly white but has a black ancestor, what are they considered? "Black," was the reply. "Well, in Haiti, it is the opposite. If you have a white ancestor you are white."

Same here, I also don't see how you can count the parts that are obviously outside Europe. I was responding to the Kazakhstan argument, which was doing exactly that (counting a huge part that's not in Europe just because a tiny bit can fit in. :)

Wow, that is pretty ignorant.
