Movie quiz

Sorry, I forgot about this thread. Anyhow, heres my question:

What was the name of the first Bond film ever made, and who played 007?

Dr No. and Sean Connery. the best bond ever. no question. maybe not the best film, but the best bond. Roger Moore doesn't even come close

Steviejay

Nope, sorry. This one is a bit obscure.

Yeah, Sean Connery is the best of the Bonds:D

If it was Casino Royale and Peter Sellers, then it is a common misperception; Casino Royale was the first book, but Dr. No was indeed the first Bond film.

edit: though actually, after a bit of research, there was a Casino Royale made in 1954, though it was a T.V special lasting only 50 minutes. The person who plays Jimmy(sic) Bond is Barry Nelson, though in this version, Jimmy is American.

Well, your partly right noncon. A film version of Casino Royale was made in 1954, but Peter Sellers was not involved.

Your probably thinking of the 1967 comedy, Peter Sellers was in that. So was Ursula Andress actually.

So, anyone know the actor?

Correct noncon!

Hehe, your edit was 5 mins before my post, so I guess its your turn.

Wasn't it "The Seven Samurai", or something like that?
I vaguely remember someone talking about it in another thread once..

See below

Ok, this will either be tough or easy, depending on how well you know the movie in question. It's a famous and popular one though, if a little old. (I think it's pretty easy, but ymmv.) Below is a picture of a place that was used for several scenes in the movie. Top left is the main entrance, top right is the same from above, lower left and lower right are 2 of the exhibits there. In the movie, each of these three places appeared, but they were edited somehow. Ex. for the entrance, the name was changed, but the logo remained the same.
So: a. What was the movie in question?
b. What are each of those 3 locations in reality? (the pictures below are how they actually appear)
c. How were they edited for the movie?
You can answer in general terms if you don't know specifically, and I'm not going to be a stickler about it. Whoever gets the majority of the question right will get credit.

I've been told that it's not the same Brian May. I really don't know for sure.

Since no one seems to have gotten this today, I'll bump the thread, post some really obvious hints, and check back tomorrow.
"Captain, if we were to assume these ____ were ours, to do with as we pleased, we would be as guilty as those who caused their extinction."

"Aye, but what if I could show you a way to make a window that would hold the same amount of water, but be only one inch thick? Would that be worth something to ya?"

The answer's Star Trek 4 - The Voyage Home

erm......... it looks like the Seaworld where they stole the two Humpbacks, not sure how they edited it though

Well, it's been >24 hrs, so.. steviejay got the first part of the question, but since no one else answered, he gets it.

As to the full answer, I guess nobody here has been to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which is where these pictures are from, and the scenes were shot. For the movie, they changed the name to the "Cetacean Institute", and made it look like those 2 exhibits were part of a tank for the whales (although in reality, they're not connected). That's all I was expecting..
Btw, the exhibit names are just what they look like, the great tide pool and the kelp forest.

ok, I'll be sad and show how much I love Tarantino here-

The "Big Kahuna burger" (of Pulp Fiction Fame) appears in another movie with Quentin Tarantino, whats the film??

Isn't it 'Dusk Til Dawn' - but I thought someone else directed that? Oh, I see, Tarantino was in it, you're not saying he directed it.

I have! And I knew the full answer before your hint. But I didn't check the thread fast enough, though, so all I get is a generic "Honorable Mention" ribbon, I guess.
