[MULT] Pitboss Worldbuilding Challenge

Eh, if we haven't got Barbs after an initial "wave", that's fine with me. It'll provide for more interesting worldbuilding, in all honesty (the nomadic hostile tribes gradually get assimilated into civilizations?)

Yeah, but rebels? Pirates? Cannibals? Gangsters? All are incarnations of barbarians in later eras. You can do some pretty sweet things with barbs. I'm going to try to place some encampments and test this evening. Expect results soon(ish).

Playtesting with random-starts and city-states

Looks like the map's working okay, there. Wouldn't mind having kobo's starting location, though...

Looks like he just revealed the area to my northwest and if so...my sweet looking territory is indeed looking sweet.

Or if we go random starts again that's fine...either way let's get this started! :bounce:

This is not the right map. You do not start there, that section may be overhauled completely. I specified that this map shows random starts because I knew this would happen.

Barbarian encampments don't seem to be spawning correctly. I can place them down, sure enough, but during my testing they never spawned again. A serious problem , if anyone has any suggestions I would love them.

I think choosing scenario forces you to plant everything, if we need random barbs, cs, ruins we will have to reroll starts I think.

I take it the above picture is not supposed to look like this.

'Cause that's how it looks on my PC.

That's how it looks for me, too.

This is really troubling me. I can't get barb encampments to spawn without sacrificing your new, well positioned spawns. Can anyone help? Please?

I think our options are to either return to random spawns or accept that there will only be one wave of barb encampments. Could you place some encampments about the map and then turn on Raging Barbs?

Have you tried the Team 22 trick I'm reading about?

Huh? That's how the game works by definition (and why you can't have more than 22 Major Civs and 41 City-States in a game, without modifying the DLL files)...the issue is that the map is preventing new barbs from spawning.

It looks like that on my computer, too; I suspect sillsworth deliberately blurred the picture.

Well seeing as how sillsworth manually set all the civs and city states, he might not have followed the default team structure.

Oh, I see what you meant. I don't think you can change that, but if you can that might be part of the problem.

The World Editor did not account for barbs. I'll fix that and then get this game underway.

AND: Not only did that previous image glitch, but it's not of the correct world. So just ignore, it won't do you any good.

Everything above Prince gives humans the same handicaps. I say King, though, just because we can.

Because we can. Because we can take the blows. Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. Because he's not a hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector...a dark knight.
