Multi touch civ crash problem

My computer mouse equivalent is a multitouch pad--macbook pro
whenever i play civ 3 complete and drag multiple fingers on the pad the game crashes automatically no matter if im loading a game edoiting prefernces or just playing

This is a bug in the mac version. I doubt there will ever be a patch for this.
You could use an external mouse and keyboard (to avoid accidentally bumping the touch pad).

OR

Use Fusion / Parallels to play civ3 under OSX. Civ3 graphics run fine under VMware Fusion. (I suppose some other emulator would work too? Q emulator? perhaps even WINE?)
This is the best option. This does allow you to use the touchpad without having it crash. (and be able to use all the civ3 utilities that are windows only)
A new copy of the game for PC can be found in the cheap-games section in your wal-tar-mart for $9. or online even cheaper.

OR

Bootcamp. running windows is such a drag though.

i used to be completely annoyed but i found if u go to civ 3 downloads -patches there will be a mac 1.22 Rev a patch. download that and the multitouch will be fixed
